Square Users... What do you do with your card reader when you're not using it?

I just got my Square reader and I'm wondering what's the best way to take care of it and what to do with it when I'm not doing an event?

Do you have something you keep it in so it doesn't get damaged?

Do you always keep it with you in between events for just in case?

We have one in my wifes Purse, and one in the cashbox

I also have about 20 more laying around to pass out to others so I don;t stress over losing them.

I'm going to make a little case for mine and put it in my supply box that I bring to every show. I am planning on asking for a spare one of these days that I can keep in my tote bag should the occasion arise for me to use it.

Having backups here and there is a good idea too since I'm the type to keep loosing track of my drug store reading glasses. I've accumulated multiple pairs over time so when I loose track of one pair, there's always another to take its place.

Nope, Not available in Canada yet.
Squareup is the company, they make a small credit card reader and App that uses a smart phone or Ipad to accept credit careds

I just have mine in my bank bag that lives in the cash box. That way I know I won't forget it!

My wife has one in her purse.

I had 50 extras at one time and gave almost all away, now I am down to about 3 extras and smart isn't sending out bunches to there inner square anymore so I will sit on them just in case the one kicking around in the cash box gets to beat up.

I tend to carry mine around with me in my purse because it has proved to be so handy in other things, like splitting the check at restaurants that don't do that for you, and using my loving friends as an ATM. haha. I think those cases are awesome! Now I really want one!

At a show it is always in my phone......and when I am not using it I place it back into the original foam box it came with.
I do like those hard cases though.

I put it in a little plastic "snack" ziploc bag and place it in my jewelry drawer when not in use. This way I always know where it is and keep the dust out. I have a list of things to take when getting ready for a show so I won't forget it. :O)

I will use Square in my Iphone, however, do I have to be in a location with wifi to use it? Or just be someplace where my phone gets reception like for phone calls?

I keep it in the box I bought it in! lol it has a padding to protect it and it's big enough that I wont lose it

@ Memoriesto You uninstall the app on you iphone & re download it that happened with me & i did that & now it works again..

@ inspiredhats as long as your phone has service & a good internet connection it will work....

i luv square it has doubled my sales!!
