Necklace Displays

Ok so I hate my black necklace displays. They're falling apart & just look bad.

My friend gave me one of her clear stands and I really like it but she said she's had to glue it a lot.

What do you use to display necklaces? Especially long ones?

Re: Necklace Displays

At the last craft show I attended in March, this vendor had what looked like a suitcase. Her husband made a foldable wood display case with hinges. Her space was 20 wide and she had 3 of them. They just opened them up and set the cases up on high tables for perfect viewing. Her husband helps her with her booth. They both had director chairs...he was on one end and her at the other. They had a lot of people in their booth.

I told my husband if I ever get into jewelry.....I want one of those. LOL

Re: Necklace Displays

The suitcase idea sounds like a good idea. In addition to using it as a display, it become storage for merchandise! I've seen vendors using vases and inverted lampshades (with the fabric removed). You could turn the open suitcases on their sides so you would get good length.

Thanks, Patricia, for the idea.
And thank you Suzie for posing the question!

Re: Necklace Displays

I've used reclaimed wood panels as a jewelry stand to hold my long necklaces. I also got a necklace stand made from driftwood for some more dramatic pieces. They complement a more rustic look that I'm going for.

If you prefer a more modern style, the flat wooden necklace displays with a natural finish also go well with minimalist pieces.

Re: Necklace Displays

I got a pasta drying rack (wood spokes coming out of a thick dowel In the center). Lol!

It looks great but it’s a pain in the butt to load and unload.

I have something like the suitcase idea for my earrings. It’s 2 deep (about 2in) frames from ikea hinged together with flat dowels inside for hanging the earrings. It’s great because I load it before and it’s good to go. I bet you could do something like that for necklaces maybe with elastic to hold them down for travel?

Re: Necklace Displays

I've seen people use tomato cages with the 'prong' ends folded together to form some sort of handle and then the necklaces fed through it. Good thing, prevents fast theft.

as I mentioned in the other display thread, black iron pipe & wood is very flexible.
