Attaching a Banner to a table

I have my first craft fair on the 14th (and to say I'm nervous is an understatement). I had a banner made by Vistaprint and they included some plasticky things that you attach to the corners to make hanging your banner easier. Can someone please give me advice as to the best way to attach it to the table. I am worried that string going all around the table (top and bottom) would look a little tacky and may start to drop after a few hours. Also it would be on top of a black tablecloth which may also make it a little slippery.

Thank you so much for your help and advice

Re: Attaching a Banner to a table

I am always searching for a way to hang the banner. In the past I have used the tiniest black clips i could finda nd just pinched a tiny bit oft he table cloth.

However, I just had what could be a wonderful idea. I've never tried it, but will for my next show. MAGNETS!

You would just get two for each corner. Put one underneath the cloth, then the banner, then the second magnet. I need them on the bottom corners because I store my banner rolled and it curls. You could also put one in the middle if your banner is heavy. Mine is very lightweight.

I am going to buy some before my next show and try it out.

I know this post is old, but I want to help boost it for anyone else. Magnets works perfectly! I'm glad I found this advise here. Thank you!

I use very thin white string and run it over the white tablecloth and then attach to the back side of the table. Then I put a runner on top of the table to hide the string.

I bought a roll of velcro from Office Depot - it works great - I ran a length of it to hold the top of the banner and two smaller pieces for the bottom corners. Keeps the banner in place just fine.

Re: Attaching a Banner to a table

We built a few different structure to hang our banners behind the table: out of wood, pvc pipe, tripod lighting stands.
As soon as one person stands in front of your table, no one can see the banner, so it really isn't advertising your business to have it hanging at the front of your table IMO.

Re: Attaching a Banner to a table

Figure out where on your table you want it to go. Sew on one side of the velcro to the table cloth. Hot glue the other side of the velcro to your banner. Voila!

we do what tigersanddragons does for indoor shows and for outdoor shows we hang from the back of the tent...people can see your banner from the middle of the traffic route if it is up not so much if attached to the table.

Re: Attaching a Banner to a table

I used plastic snaps, attached the male side of the snaps to the tablecloth and the female side to the banner. I have them on hand anyway for making bibs, so I guess not everyone would have them hanging around. It worked wonderfully though.
