We recently joined Etsy and have been overwhelmed with the wonderful welcome we have received. Many people for our busy facebook page @clearly crafty community and twitter @mrs_ccc. How are you all finding promoting and selling you wares in Etsy land? Mrs #CCC x

Hi everyone, i'm pretty new to Etsy and saw this group and thought it looked great to join! i'm trying to promote through word of mouth, Facebook and Instagram, at the minute! I have had 6 sales which i'm really pleased about! Hoping to get many more though as i have so much more to list its just getting around to it!

Hi everyone :) I think its hard to sell on Etsy because I've found that not many people have heard of it as its an American company. I keep promoting it though. I find using a lot of social media networking helps. I did find that my items were not shown correctly with the words you should use...didn't understand any of that until I read the Etsy handbook....I recommend reading that :)
The titles of your items should be as long as possible basically!!! And use ALL your tags. :)
I actually got my first sale because I explained Etsy to a customer and asked if she could use it for me to get me started (I think people feel weird about your shop if it has nothing sold on it??!) I said that if she bought her item on my shop I would send her a thank you gift...and she did and so I sent her a free bracelet :)
I have had 3 sales now :)

Morning Mrs CCC and everybody else. I just spotted your post on FB so came over to join. I love Etsy, for buying and selling.
I take all orders through Etsy so have introduced quite a few people to it and have it listed as my website everywhere. The teams are really great ways of promoting your items and shop and are a great way to get involved in treasury lists, which always boosts hits to your shop.
As a buyer Etsy is great because you can get anything here, usually handmade or vintage and totally unique.
