This Team Needs Help!

Guys, no one is posting anything in this team anymore except advertising new listings. When I joined (fairly recently) I looked back a older threads and saw WAY more going on, team competitions, thread for favoriting each others work, etc. Some of the other teams I'm in have different thread for getting know each other better...Is anyone interesting in getting some new threads started, new games/competitions and things going other then just posting in the 'new listings' thread? I mean, we are the ONLY Celtic knot team I know of, we are special - lets show it! :)

Post your suggestions and ideas below! If there are people interested I'll add some things too.

Last year a few of us did a challenge with a Celtic design, incorporating it into our own medium. I'd be interested in doing that again. It was fun and it brought some of us closer.

I agree I haven't checked in here very often lately because there's just nothing happening. Thanks for trying to get things moving again! : )

Great to hear from a few of you guys - glad there are still a few of you who check in regularly and want to do more with the team! :) I'd be all for a knotwork challenge, I've not done one with the team before as I only joined a few months ago - if any of you who have done them before have any ideas, just shoot! :)

Well, for me personally, my inspiration for Celtic knots can come from a lot of different places - books (lots of them), pictures of Celtic art/gravestones/woodwork/leather work, etc. Etsy is a great inspiration to!

I just picked up a book 'The Archaeology of Celtic Art' and I have to read it with a sketch pad nearby. So many ideas, so little time!

I'm new to this team and I am glad to participate in things. I must admit that my wife regulates my time on the computer, lol, but I am willing to help. I am sorry that the last response was on july 2, a bit discouraging. Can you explain what your challenge might entail?

I've seen challenges between team members in the past, though never participated in any because I also am newer to the team. They were just friendly challenges where team members all worked on creating some form of art with the same knot that month - be it leather, woodworking, pen and ink, etc.
Any brainstorming on other ideas/activities to promote the team would be great too...

I participated in the Knot challenges here before and what we did was make a treasury out of the ones who submitted. It really helps if we can get a lot of people participating. I know for myself I am swamped right now with orders for custom work but I would be happy to make some time to create a new design.

As to where my knot ideas come from I am a very traditional knot person, I cant resist a book on Celtic art, Celtic knotwork, I think I have three book cases full of them from the book of kells and several other very Old Celtic books to modern fantasy art that incorporates Celtic design.
