Get to know your team!!

Hi, friends. I realized I had not introduced myself! I am definitely enjoying all the wonderful shops and people I am meeting through this group and Etsy.

I have always loved cats and when we moved to the country with our three cats, I knew we would have more! Sure enough, they found us! At one time we had nine cats, three dogs and nine peafowl. They all lived together in harmony!! They always got their shots and were spayed/neutered, and became quite spoiled but that is how it should be, right? :-)

It is so sad that people abandon animals out here in the country, but if they find us, they find a good home --- lots of love and food and shelter. Over the years we have been so fortunate to have our kitties live long lives with us:
Rudy, Arty, Honny (our first three cats who lived to be 21, 20 and 22 years old) Frankie, O.C., Toby, Punky, Paw, Rocky, Geezer, Stinky, Patches and Poppy.

After 26 years here in the country, we now have only Paw, age 17, and Patches, age 13, and our big, 160 lb. dog, Spike. It seems very quiet now as we haven't added any new additions . . . just in case we move.

We lost Poppy, our feral cat, two months ago. Poppy was the only cat ever to wander into our world that we could not socialize. He was so skinny and starving, but eventually he slept on our enclosed porch in a big comforter during the winter or underneath in the shade during the summer. He was a long hair, orange cat. I never could touch him, but he got along with Paw and Patches and Spike (big dog!). He lived with us for three years, occasionally disappearing, but always returning. I miss him greatly.

I could write for hours about our kitties and other animals, but I do have some pictures in my cat jewelry album . . . the real kitties are at the end of the album:

Hello everyone,
I'm Ying. Thank you for your invitation.
I am a cat lover, actually my whole family is.We have 12 cats,and they all were homeless.

We are also cat rescuers,we relocated them in to a barn and feed them everyday.They have their own place and food, and are not forced to sit outside restraunts while their bellies growl, or hide under cars to get shelter from weather. The barn is not perfect, and we wish there was somewhere even better and safer for them.

Some cats are so wild and we can't catch them,we just simply leave the food there everyday,and hope they are safe.

I haven't had a job for a while now,and the cat's food ,our gas,everything seems to be getting higher.I am so desperate,and that's why i am here trying to sell some my stuff. I hope get some money to buy some cat food and get them spayed and neutered.

Hi everyone!

My name is Joslyn and like all of you, I absolutely adore cats! I'm a full-time student majoring in photography and our furry friends are my favorite subject. :) Sadly, I am not owned by a kitty at this time. However, my boyfriend's mother is the manager at a no-kill cage-free cat shelter that I visit on a regular basis to socialize and have photo-shoots with all the adorable rescue cats. :3

Jackie, I'm sipping on my coffee right now outside with Joon. She is climbing the screen to get closer to a fly she's had her eye on for a few minutes now.. Crazy cat.

Any fathers day plans today? Joon and I will be having dinner with her "Paw-Paw" later on... we are excited to cook out on the grill! (I'm a vegetarian, but the things we do for the men we love) :)

Maybelline had so much fun meeting my our grown kids that came in for fathers day. She loved all the new ways everyone found to play with her. She was the entertainment for the day!

Hello, I'm Rachel. I have four male, black cats, and I am currently fostering two sibling kittens (Toby and Tina, tortie and a black kitty). I volunteer at Salem Friends of Felines here in Salem, OR. I love cats. I give the neighborhood cats names (i.e. one that likes to come into our backyard I have named "Tinkerbell" because she wears a bell collar). My hubby and I are both students (I'm majoring in art). I make button bobby pins, magnets, thumbtacks, and earrings.

I love cats! :-)

Just joined the team because my cats rule their world :) Lilly my 3 yr old ragdoll decided last night was not for sleeping. aurghhh... When I go to scold her she just purrs. Well, can't argue with a purr... Also have Baxter our long haired grey/white/brown rescue kitty. His tail hair is over 6 inches long! amazing!

Hi, I'm Brittanie, I just joined the team today. :)
I love cats and cat things. I've always been a big cat lover ever since I was a kid. I currently have one rescue kitty named Takkun (after FLCL), but hope to adopt another in the future.

I'm a varied artist, but I mostly work in photography and illustration. I sell prints of my photos in my Etsy shop, as well as some products I've made through my illustrative and graphic design work. An example of these are my cat charts (linked below). I hope to make a lot more art based products in the future for my shop.
I'm also currently in the beginning stages of writing a children's - young adult book. It's still very much in it's infancy, but I'm always thinking of bits and pieces for it and creating artwork based around the storyline.

Anyway, nice to meet you all! Hope to see some cute cat art and products from this team.

Hi!

I'm Tamiza, and my Etsy shop is for my handmaded beaded jewelry. Everything is designed without clasps - so stretchy bracelets and over the head necklaces - because I have trouble with clasps, myself.

We have a 16 year old calico named Gabby. She's super chatty, and still very feisty and curious about the world around her. A few years ago, she developed bone cancer in her left elbow, and we had to have it amputated, but you would never know! She gets around fabulously, and not just for a geriatric tripod!

Hello everyone!

I'm Kristina and I have two Etsy shops, this one that I have my handmade crochet items in and a vintage/supply shop. I am definitely a cat person. We have a calico, Tinker, who lives in the house with us and several outdoor cats (plus new little ones born this year). We live on a farm with plenty of places for them to play and hide. If you look at my About page, you will see my cat Charlie who is very affectionate.

My boyfriend and I recently moved in together, each of us having two cats, so it has gotten pretty crazy around here, though they're finally all getting along after a couple months. Thank goodness.

Hi, everyone! I just joined the Team and am looking forward to participating, which for me partly means pawmoting each other's items and not just mine.

I had cats all my life until 2000, when I acquired a black Pomeranian I named Dominique, a.k.a. Dom the Pom. It's hard to believe my hale and hearty little dog is 13 - time hs flown! She's the fashion model for my Etsy small dog/cat apparel Shop, Blaoomingtails Dog Duds.

Dom's behavior is similar to a cat's. She's very clean, and she washes her face with her paws. She has a dresser drawer full of her clothes, some storebought and some made by her Pom Mom (me). She loves to wear clothes, and is so smart that when I'm putting something with sleeves on her she'll lift her paw so I can slide the sleeve over it. She's also a little ballerina, doing the arabesque at times by stretching a hind leg behind her. A funny little dog, and I ♥ her!

I'm looking forward to getting to know some of Etsy's cat people.

Hi! My name is Debbie and I am new to the team. I rescue strays and ferals and currently have about 15 living in my house, or should I say they allow ME to live there as long as I feed them! : - ) My neighbor and I have the sanctuary yards where all types of animals know they can come to and will be taken care of and feel safe. My best Christmas present ever was when my sister sent me six large bags of cat food!

I design bohemian and gypsy handbags and accessories and sell them in my shop.
