Hi! I am Cat and I love kitties! My hubby and I have four cats -- one son, Smokey; and three daughters: Sasha, Peanut and Pullies. They are our children and we adore them. All our cats were adopted as strays or from shelters. Our babies really bring joy to our lives and we cannot imagine not having them.
I love to shop at flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores. My favorite hobby, crochet, is the reason for my Etsy store. I love to look for yarns and am drawn to them wherever I go. I look forward to reading about other members and their feline friends!
HI, I currently have one cat, Jordan. She is 5 years old. A friend of mine adopted her from some people giving away free kittens. My friend couldn't keep Jordan so I took her. She kept my older cat, Willamina company. Willamina passed away a few months ago at the age of 12. Now its just Jordan and myself. Jordan is a feisty tabby with brown, grey and black markings. Both Jordan and Willamina have pictures on my "about" page.
Hello, I am a crochet addict and rescue groups are my outlet. I have four rescue cats and support cat rescue groups with finished items. I also send birdnest bowls to wildlife rescue groups. I really enjoy making blankets and cat toys. I am constantly having ideas for new patterns and instead of a room filled with my work, I mail out donations to rescue groups. I list the rescue groups in my discriptions to get the word out on who can use items to help the rescued animals. This is a great team.
Hi I'm Catriona, a final year medical student from Scotland. I have a petite black and white cat called Suzi who's about 9. She has a reputation in our neighbourhood for always having something brown and furry in her mouth. She's my official supervisor :)
Hi, y'all! i just joined. Although my tee shirts include various critters, I'm way heavy on the cats. Can ya blame me? I donate a percentage of my sales to animal welfare organizations. CATS RULE!!!
Hello all (and my kitty Oscar says "hi" also; he really appreciates a team that is dedicated to cat lovers!). I'm almost finished with a needlepoint piece of a Siamese cat. The cat looks so much like our beloved Omar (r.i.p., he's been gone many years; wish I had written a book about his antics while they were fresh on my mind). I've been working on this needlepoint for 34 - 35 years (yes - Years!) and it's almost done!!!! OK, so I didn't work on it continually - months would go by without picking it up. I'll share a picture when it's done. Just had to share this link - if you like quilts and cats you'll enjoy this! http://www.24blocks.com/
Hi! My name's Veronica and my shop is Scrappy Rat Designs. I have 2 kitties, one huge and orange, one tiny and grey, both stripey. :) I also have a rat terrier, 3 degus, a chinchilla, 2 turtles, and 2 foster rats.
I make all kinds of pet and rescue-themed items with 10%-100% of each item's sale going to animal rescue/advocacy groups. Each listing indicates how much that item gives. I try to keep plenty of 100% donation items listed all the time so it's easy to choose things that maximize your donation to animals. Check my shop description or "about" page for the name of this month's charity. :) I'm a writer, which I enjoy greatly, and I used to be a dog training instructor before my spine fell to bits. I keep hoping maybe I'll feel well enough to go back into instructing again someday. In the mean time I keep on top of what is going on in rescue overall, and use what I know for my own animals' training and to help out friends/family.
Glad I have found this group. I have two cats - one in his best years, the other is a youngster. Both are adopted from the streets. I try to help out local animal protection communities. Just love both of my cats as well as any other cat type animals. :)
Hi everyone. Even though we are Bob and Pam, and we are equally crazy about cats, and also crazy about all other animals(the others just don't have absolute control over our lives!), I, Pam, will be the one posting. Bob has a touch of computer-phobia.
We live with 2 of the sweetest cats ever born, and the funniest. The tortoiseshell is named Snickers, because she is sweet and kind of nutty. The tuxedo cat is named Gismo, because when she came to us, at 4 weeks old, she had these giant eyes, like the movie character.
We volunteer at our local no kill shelter, and we were supposed to be fostering Gismo, until she was old enough to go to the shelter, or until she found a home. She was "fostered" for 24 hours. Then, she was home. lol
I am very glad to find this group, and I look forward to exploring all the boards, and getting to know you all!
I'm Monika and I live on a farm...lucky for me, because 2.5 years ago I rescued a crying 4-week-old little black kitten that had been dumped off by our canal, patiently lured her with tuna and milk for 2 weeks til she came near me. I named her Lexi, she's a black sleek princess with killer bright green eyes. Born in the Year of the Tiger, like me, and is a mirror personality, lol. The rest happened so fast I hardly remember..I already had rescued my crazy neighbors male and female, named them Caesar and Cleopatra, then Caesar decided to father Lexi's kittens before I could...well, stop the situation, or prevent it. My son and boyfriend built 2 houses for them, lucky for that, because with more drop-offs and kittens from neighboring cats appearing out of nowhere(they love me, and I spoil them rotten), I now house, shelter and care for 26 cats and counting... I became disabled 3 years ago, so money's tight. The animal shelters are full in this area, and I can't seems to get help to pay for spaying and neutering. These darlings have become my life, alongside my wonderful son, who just started attending University. I started BadTiger Designs not only to help fund both of their needs, but to fulfill my lifelong dream to share my artistic self with some of the world. I'm an oil painter, but love anything I can get my hands on, and don't get me started on my addiction to antiques and SHOES...I have an entire house/workshop full of treasures, in the process of posting them...one by one. Stay tuned, and so very nice to meet you all!
Hi all I have had the honour of sharing my life with two cats. Sir Sebastian Hargrave Hyphenated Smythe the Third. A white kitty with one blue and one green eye, also deaf as a door post so it didn't really matter what we called him. And Modigliani, a tortie with beautiful green eyes. Both lived to the happy age of 19 and, sadly, both have passed away. Modigliani, only this year. I am still not ready for sharing with another but have opened this little shop to cater to a stylish kitty's taste. And I always think of my kitties when I am working on these items.
Hello! Kitty, our beloved 11 year old cat is a one-cat-in-the-house cat, so we only have her (and 3 dogs that she rule with an iron paw!). We have rescued and rehomed and returned home several cats over the years, but Kitty did not care of these visitors in the least, so we have accepted that we will just have to settle for one kitty cat in the family for now :)
We have kitty and doggie tree toppers in our shop!
My name is Dahlya and I'm new to Etsy. My best friend and I are seniors in high school and we decided to create a shop for the pendants we have been making!
I have two cats named Toad and Jade. They are rescue tabby cat sisters and have very different personalities. Toad is very friendly and outgoing and is constantly by my side. Jade is really shy and everything scares her, but she's very loving and cuddly at times. They both get pretty hyper at times too, and both are terrified of the door bell lol.
I've grown up with cats my whole life and have never lived without one, and never plan to!
I am owned by 2 Rescue Persian cats named Karloff (yep like Boris Karloff) and Lugosi (like Bela Lugosi).
The kitties are known as "kitty monsters" and totally rule my lair.
I adore them. They came from a hoarding situation (52 Persian cats living together with 4 dogs, 60 fish and a pigeon). Both kitties were traumatised and I had to work a lot with them on the healing side, + Bach Flowers remedies. On 15th November it was 4 years since they came to live with us. They are totally different now and although they are not lap cats, they show their affection in different ways :-)
Oh and my avatar is my kitties as Victorian felines ;-)
Hi my name is Carley I have 3 cats named Dags, Spunk and Lucy. I have had about 17 cats in my lifetime. They are all very friendly cats. Spunk is the big guy, he is part tabby part mainecoon. We got Spunk off the street as kitten during the Alumni Parade. My hometown is just full of strays. He loves the outdoors and my mom is his favorite person. Dags is the youngest and the weirdest cat I have ever had. He does not like to sleep on cushions or pillows or beds, instead he likes tables and the floor. The other day he was sleeping on top of my purse. He is also fat about over 15 lbs. He is afraid of cars. Loves people. Not the brightest cat in the world but I love him. Lucy is my little girl. She is quite the mouser and can catch things as big as she is. She is a petite girl only weighting 7lbs. She loves to sleep with me at night. I am her favorite person. She will sleep right on top of me or right on my head.
Hi cat people! My name is Mayumi and I've just joined the team! I am an absolute cat person. My cat is not here with me now but she is in my home country living with my parents and their cat. When I came to the US, she couldn't fly with me. It is a looooooooong flight from Tokyo to JFK and she is scared of other people and cars/tracks. I thought that the flight would be very torturous for her. That's why she is with my parents right now. I occasionally fly back to see her, though. My parents and I are cat people. We have rescued stray cats many times. Just for fun, I have a pin board for cats and cat lovers on Pinterest: www.pinterest.com/atelierhanover/yes-my-love/ I love cats... :)
Hi! I'm new here and my kitties' names are Toulouse, a big orange cuddlemonster who has earned the nickname "The Crushinator" for his habit of squishing stuff under his enormous body, and Violet, a petite mackerel tabby. Both were born to ferals, though you wouldn't know it from the way these two behave. They are beyond snuggly. Toulouse lets me hold him like a stuffed animal all night long, and Violet wakes me up at least once every night making tiny "be my mommy" kitten noises, wanting me to pet her while she falls asleep sucking on her toe like kids suck their thumbs. I'm a supporter of trap-neuter-return programs for ferals and rescue and indoor life for adoptable cats. 10% of the proceeds of the sales in my shop go to an animal charity of the month and last month was Alley Cat Allies. :) Thanks for having me here!
Hey! I'm Cheryl and we have 4 cats: a tabby, calico, tuxedo, and black with a spot of white. One is actually my sisters who we are kitty sitting for while she is moving/getting settled from Seattle to Chicago. 3 of them are under 2. And crazy, but sweet. One of them broke a mug within her first 24 hrs of being home- and that was just a sign of the start of things to come with her. The other is 12, knows she's the top cat, and isn't afraid to show it. All are rescue shelter cats :) Most of the pictures on my phone are of my cats, the other of my art. And I have a never ending supply of crazy cat stories.
