I made a small simple web page to keep track of events in the area that I might be interested in, but then I thought maybe I should share my information.

If anyone has any information about events please feel free to post. Anything from a small church bazaar to a huge craft fair.

I havn't been to the downtown holiday market but I've heard other people say that the vendors looked cold and miserable...

Oct 22 there's a small show at Grounded Coffee Shop in Alexandria from 2-5 I'll be there and I think 4-5 other vendors

No other information...Candy (owner of the shop) has two craft bazaars a year. April and October. She doesn't charge a fee and only asks that you be local, with handmade (no resale), and stay for the duration.

There's another PTA vendor fair in Chantilly (Brookfield) on Dec 4. I'm getting the details from the organizer and I'll post them here. It's my kids school. I did okay there last year - the lady next to me selling wooden holiday items did great.

I got a response back from the organizer for the Brookfield PTA fair. I have the form if you want to convo me your email address.

She said it's Dec 10th (not the 4th like I thought it was going to be so I can't go since I signed up for another one that day since it's been on the 1st Sat in Dec for the past several years) from 11am to 3pm. Forms due Nov 3. Fees: $40 for space, $10 for a table rental, $10 for electricity.
Brookfield parents get preference before Nov 3, then it's 1st come, 1st served.

It runs congruent with the PTA's Holiday shop - the kids shop there and the parents shop the vendor fair. It's not all handmade - we had Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef and Miche reps there last year as well as handmade and some catalog stuff and a food vendor.

To TrimalchioArts and others who are interested in Downtown Holiday Market in DC:

I applied and got in for two days for last weekend before holiday. I asked around about the show and many vendors who did the show in the past mentioned,

1) yep, brutally cold. but you can be prepared as much as you can. bring your portable heater, etc. they have electricity!
2) good sales and constant traffic

So I am going to venture and try this year. Will post more info about the show after I attend the show. :)

Hi everyone!!
The Cox High School Band will be hosting a Fall Craft Bazaar On Saturday, Oct 22nd 2011 from 9AM-3PM inside the cafeteria.

There will be over 60 vendors selling handmade items and home decor. A raffle will be going on all day, so plan to shop, eat and enjoy the event!
