Hey everyone! I am putting out a call to anyone interested in making some extra money before Christmas for help in my booth at the Downtown DC Holiday Market. The dates I'm exhibiting are Sunday 12/21 through Tuesday 12/23. Keep in mind it is outdoors (in a tent). I have a propane heater and an extra shearling coat that I can lend and I will provide hand and foot warmers :-) If you are anywhere along my route to and from the Market I will pick you up and drop you off as well. Keep in mind also that the hours are long, especially on the first and last days. But it is fun and good experience, especially if you are considering applying for the show next year.
I'm offering $100 cash per day plus 5% commission. I will need help setting up the first day and breaking down on the last day but the main thing I am looking for is someone who is comfortable talking to customers and selling to them. I'm pretty laid back in my selling style so I don't expect anyone to be aggressive, just friendly and comfortable talking to different people about my work.
Also, assuming that I am accepted I would be needing help for a similar-style market in Alexandria. I applied for the Friday - Sunday of 12/12 - 12/14. Assuming the hours are similar I would do the same deal as above.
