Annapolis/Silver Spring shows

I was asked if I wanted to sell crafts at the Annapolis Oktoberfest. Does anyone have experience?
How about the Silver Spring fenton market this season?

Thank you,

Cindy

I didn't have a lot of luck at FSM. Lots of really cool vendors, but seemed like a lot of visitors were there mostly to browse instead of shop. I can't tell you how many people said I have beautiful stuff, but they didn't have any money! I might have just picked a bad weekend though.

I agree with Jillian. This was my first season there and mid- to higher-end items were admired but not purchased. What seemed to be best sellers on the days I was there were imported goods offered at low prices.

I do pretty well at Fenton and I've been doing it for a few years now. I've learned that you do have to be pretty active with talking to customers and the more often you're there, the more that people will see and remember your products. Cheap stuff sells everywhere but there are plenty of vendors that sell highly priced products and do well.
