Hello Canadian Sellers!

My name is Nada and I'm the Seller Growth Manager here at the Etsy Canada office. This space will be used as an opportunity to connect directly with Canadian sellers. Thrilled about Direct Checkout? Have tips to share about shipping? Cool stories from your team? We want to hear about it! This is our direct line to you to discuss new announcements that impact Canadian sellers as well as opportunities for exposure!

Let's keep it positive and honest. Please do not use this space to promote your shop, there are plenty of amazing teams for that, but the purpose of this team is to keep it Canada specific.

Have suggestions for how to make this team awesome? Share with us in the comments below!

Hello Canada!

I am new to teams and am here to see what it's all about.

A little about me: I'm from Windsor, NS and have been on Etsy for a little over a year. I got married a month ago and since I got back from my honeymoon I've been on a mission to get more views and sales.

I started with renaming everything and updating tags which is working great! There was a checklist that said I should join a team so here I am :)

I make crochet accessories such as boot cuffs, scarves, hats & the like. I know I need to work on my photography skills so that will be next.

I hope everyone is having a great day:)

Hi Nada,

thanks for creating this thread. I find it so valuable to sometimes take a step back from all the promoting forums and really get to know one another.
I started on etsy just a little over a year ago, and i fell in love with the community!
I'm so glad to be a part of it, and to have the opportunity to work for myself is something that I cherish profoundly, and it's definetely priceless!

Thank you from Aries Den =)

I do not know if this is the correct forum to ask this - when I do a search and select a custom location (Calgary, AB Canada) my listings do not show up. I have double checked my listings and store to see what I may have missed but everything looks okay. Anyone have any suggestions?

To marciajoh:

I searched for your signed hollycraft christmas tree and then drilled down the search to Canadian shops - and it did not show up.

What you need to do is this:

Add or change your location by going to Your shop > Edit shop. Add your location under your shop title.

You can also add your location in your Public Profile settings under You > Account settings > Public Profile.

As you begin typing your city, a list of suggestions will appear. **Be sure to pick from the list.**
Etsy can't show your items in local searches unless you choose a location from that drop down menu.

Hope that helps.

Very cool group! I'm assuming most people ship with Canada Post here. I'm trying to figure out the most cost effective way of shipping my large vinyl decals. Mailing tubes would be best but the postage rates are through the roof. If anyone has ideas, Im all ears. :)

Hey everyone, I'm brand new here and just joined this team! I opened my shop a few months ago but only have recently started using it. My motivation for opening it was that I've been dealing with post-concussion syndrome the last couple years and knitting and creating are a wonderful way to keep me balanced and focused. There seems to be a really great community vibe here. I love it! Eventually I would like to sell something (lol).. so does anyone have tips on promoting? Or can point me in the right direction to look? I've started up an instagram account and there's some definite interest but no orders made yet. 😊
