Many questions!

So I'm wanting to re-new & restart my blog in the right direction. I started today with the task of cleaning out my followers, those that are inactive. I was able to find how to do it for most of them, but some blogs on my following list that have been deleted or are so inactive they don't show their followers, so I am unable to unfollow. (Hope that makes sense!) Is there any way to delete them from my following list?

Also, does it make sense to check my followers too, to see if any of them are inactive? If so, how do I get them off of my followers list?

Also, I have a widget (not sure if its the correct term) on my blog with my shop name & showing some of my items for sale. However, its not working now. Is there a place to get the html to add a new one?

I use Blogger, btw.

I know I'll have a lot more questions coming up!

Re: Many questions!

Do you mean the follower widget on the sidebar? If that's the case you can just get rid of the widget (most people don't even use that anymore and it takes up valuable real estate)

If you mean from your dashboard page on blogger then I'm not sure... I'll try to look something up.

Re: Many questions!

Thanks, Nessa. Yes, I will get rid of the follower widget on the page. But I guess I'm talking about the list on the dashboard.
AND - I just fixed my Etsy minis.

Re: Many questions!

One thing I'm trying to figure out is...
My main purpose (at the moment) for my blog will be to promote my 2 Etsy shops (Fabric ala Carte & a handmade gift shop, Bon Bons and More).
I know that I need to blend my promotions along with other subjects...not all SELL, SELL, SELL.
So I've been trying to come up with a plan that will make it easier for me to keep focused.
I think my biggest block of readers will be quilters & seamstresses, so am thinking about basing my posts on them.
Is it helpful to have this kind of focus?
Will it keep me on track better?
Any thoughts on how you found your focus would be helpful :)

Re: Many questions!

Writing a mission statement can help you establish your focus, Kris. Here is a post that can get you started on this:

Also, I never found anything about the dashboard list, sorry.

Re: Many questions!

Thanks for looking, Nessa. I tried to google it, too, and couldn't come up with anything.

Re: Many questions!

I accidentally figured out how to remove blogs from my Reading List on my Dashboard!
Click on the little cog wheel on the right side of the page.
Your current blog list comes up.
Click settings on the blog you want to unfollow (on the right)
Click "Stop following this site" & then confirm.
