Low blog views but have affliates

Does anyone have low blog views or is relatively new at blogging, yet have affiliates? I'm asking because I was wondering if it is difficult to get affiliates.

I still have very low views. If I miss even a week, my views are even lower. I've been reorganizing to make my blog really content heavy, and want to apply for affiliates in June.

I think I'm confused by the word 'affiliates'. What does it mean in the blogging sense?

I see ads and affiliate ads on lots of blogs, many don't even seem to be related to the blog topic. I however want to do only affiliates related to my blog topic. I've been holding off submitting applications to get affiliates because I still have a low reader ship but was wondering if others use affiliates despite low readership. Or if others may know the readership threshold for getting an affiliate.

BTW, Nessa, hope you don't mind but I would like to copy your copyright verbiage for my blog site. I forgot to add this. Recently discovered that one of my posts was on another (large) site but they did add a link to the my site for the complete post. Thought I better add some copyright language.

I totally understand now. Unfortunately, I don't have personal experience with affiliate programs but from some quick googling I think it's one of those things that requires a lot of patience before you'll see any results from it. Good luck to you with whatever you decide to do!
