Advice for which to choose.... HELP!

Hi everyone!

I just joined the group :)

my name is Cortney and I sell colorful accessories here on Etsy.

I wondered if anyone would be willing to tell me their favorite blog host to use. (Blogger, etc) and what they like best about it.

I recently started a wordpress blog but i'm starting to think I should look further.. Wordpress won't allow me to offer advertising on my blog to other Etsy shops or anyone else for that matter. On the Blogger forum they said that Blogger allows advetising. Also, I have to sign up for the Wordpress.org in order to make my blog fully customizable.

Any advice is much appreciated and i'd love to hear what you all prefer!

Hi Courtney,

I've never used wordpress, but I'm really happy with Blogger. It seems quite versatile in its design options and it's really easy to use.

Thanks Kristina! That seems to be the way to go as they allow any customization as well as advertising revenew.

I've used both wordpress and blogger. . .blogger is much more user friendly and there are more widgets that are compatible with blogger than other services and it's free. Blogger is customizable. . .it allows you to edit your template to the way you want it. . .

Oh, Wordpress is very customizable but you need to have some html knowledge because many of the features require html codes.

I use blogger, it is very easy to use and was very quick to set up and customise.

Def blogger' google, i tried wordpress but it didn't lure me back like blogger and it's easy, friendly self.

I used to be on blogger but switched to self hosted Wordpress blog... I liked Wordpress better coz you can do do almost anything with it... There are lots of tutorials out there regarding wordpress...
