Hashtags and Etsy tags

I just wanted to put up a short post about hashtags and Etsy tags. Just so you know how to find us easily. :)

On all my tweets, I always use #bellasbns. You can always search that hashtag to find us on Twitter and see what we are up to.

I also always use bellasbns as a tag on the Etsy boards. Once again, so you can find us easily.

You can also use bellasbns as a tag on the items you want featured on BNS and BNR boards. I would love to just be able to do a search when looking for random shops to feature. So add it to some of your items and I will be looking for it in search when I am building boards. :)

Although I understand how the tags help, at this point, I've got so many teams that want items tagged that I'm running out of descriptive tags.

A couple of other teams I'm on have done this and I so appreciate it. They have a Team Profile as a Captain or Leader and have listed every item and shop of team members in their favourites. It's time consuming for the leaders but it gives a one-stop location for all of us to build treasuries from without using up our tags.

Is that something that the team is willing to do for us? I know it's a lot of work but you can also just do it for people who respond so it isn't overwhelming.

Well, we have a list of every shop on our team already so I don't know if that is worth the time investment for the leaders. It seems a bit redundant. I just meant if there was a particular item you wanted to see featured. I wouldn't put it on all of them.

The tags aren't a requirement for being featured, but I know on other teams I am a leader on it is very helpful to be able to just search and pull stuff up. You won't be left out just because you don't have an item tagged.

You do need to be judicious with team tagging because SEO is so important and you need to use those tags first. I don't expect anyone to go and add bellasbns to every item in their shop, but if there is an item you would like to see featured on a bellas board you can put it on one of the tags for that item and we would know what items you want promoted. :)

Either way, it is not a requirement. Just a suggestion.

It is a lot of work for the leaders so I understand if it can't be done. Sorry if it sounded like a criticism. Getting your items found by team members is really important. Going through individual shops to find items is very time consuming and we'd all rather our minutes were spent elsewhere. ;)

I didn't take it as criticism, Ilona. I only took it as a suggestion and those are always welcome from team members. I apologize if it seemed like it wasn't. :)
