I just found this team, and joined so I could speak to Ali's Dec. 6th post. I haven't been banned 'yet' from anything but I was forced to refund by Etsy for a vintage Cartier belt cause the buyer said it wasn't....although it absolutely was, i personally bought it for my husband 40 years ago from the Cartier shop in Toronto....but for some reason (endless emails back and forth with Etsy) Etsy decided to enforce her claim, backed by nothing.....? I said i would refund if she had documented proof from Cartier. I was more angered by Etsy than the silly buyer, who apparently bought it for her '20 year old' son. I felt like quitting Etsy.....seemed extremely unjust decision on their part. But as I was doing quite well, decided against quitting and then re-offered the belt for twice the price paid by the 1st purchaser, to a buyer who understands quality and is delighted. Karma? However, I still feel that Etsy was an impenetrable wall and wrong.
I actually wasn't going to go into that originally, I just wanted to suggest to you Ali that it seems you have a lot of customers and are doing well and THAT is Karma also! Why should you leave? Ignore the small minded individual who upset you. You have far more to gain by staying and selling, unless your own site works as well. As for your husband after 35 years.....who will look after him when he needs care...aging...ill health...Focus on your own needs. I do hope you are feeling better than when you wrote your post. Best of luck.
