Questions about certain team rules

I am so glad to have found this team! Thank you so much for answering questions and helping everyone out. I have found answers to my many questions on here.

My biggest question, though, is about being an "active member" on a team. Due to my style and subjects of art I don't fit into most teams. The teams I do find that I fit in to say things like "you will be deleted from the team if you do not participate, check in and play the games" What does this mean? Participate in what, what games? How do you check in? I scroll through the discussions on their teams to find an explanation and I have yet to find one. It's gotten to the point where I don't even apply to those teams because I don't fully understand how it all works.
Also there are many that say invite only. How do I get an invite?

Very good question. Some teams have monthly treasury requirements. Another words, you have to sign up for or makes 3 - 5 treasuries a month.

I know for a fact there are teams that do not require an invitation to become a member.

And there is little or no participation involved.

The whole reason to join teams is to get your shop found. Treasuries are a great way to promote not only your shop, but other shops too.

I belong to 19 teams. They are all promotion teams.

Let me ask you this. Have you made a treasury yet?

I just discovered an amazing download on Chrome that makes treasuries in 3 minutes. It's called treasurybox.com it's super simple to use....

Ok. The teams you need an invite for mostly require that you have at least 1 full page of inventory.

Really good pictures. And you have a history of making great treasuries.

No I haven't made a treasury yet. I know I am in a few because it notifies me when someone added one of my listings to one. I just wasn't too sure what that meant.
What's the difference between a treasury and my favorites list? I have a lot of favorites.

Your favorites are the items you click on the heart on any shop item.

A treasury is a combination of 16 items that you pick at random. It can be a color scheme, a theme, trending items really what ever you like. It's not good to promote your own shop in a treasury you curate.
