How do I???

For example, on the page: home>delacyaccessories>keychain, there are 2 pictures, and one "139 Items" squares on the right hand side of the page. How is this done?

Thanks

P.S. I had that draft, BTW.

Re: How do I???

Go to this page, delacyaccessories.etsy.com, then to

home>delacyaccessories>keychain"". This is an example.

See on the right the 3 squares? 2 pics? 1 square with 139 items?

How do I get this or something like it to appear on my page?

Thanks

Etsy should let the shop owner have full control of their shop (Not on-line yet), so that it can be tested and worked on, as if it were "live". Just a thought.

Thanks again

Sorry about that post, without all the correct info. I'm a welding instructor, and a slooooooooooooooow typist. Not use to all this typing.

Thanks

Re: How do I???

Oh, I see what your talking about now.
That 139 items is the total # of items in her shop.

You can put as many items in your shop as you like...
When you get your shop opened your shop will display the number of items you have too.

Re: How do I???

Hi copper,
Maybe I can help! You mean under the shop section there is a total amount of items in the shop! This will happen once you list you items in your shop. Go to( info and appearances) under( section) you can list the section you desire then place your item in the correct section it will give you a total number of items in each category. The total number of items will be automatic (the total of the item in each section will be added up for a total number of items in you shop). Also when you list an item you can put it in the right section if it does not appear then you go to;( info and appearances) under( section) you can make the correction you desire to make sure that the item is accounted for. Hope this helps!

Re: How do I???

Sections?? How does this work? I'm going to be selling Copper items. So I should mark one section, this size Tray, or lump all sizes of this Tray, under Trays?

Also this. All the items listed are charged $.20 each for 4 months, right? So the person above is paying 139 X $.20 for 4 months?

Thanks

Re: How do I???

That is correct.
You pay .20 per each listing, that lists for 4 months.
You could make your shop sections by designs, or tray types,
You could even do different price ranges.
$10.00 Trays. $20.00 Trays. $30.00 Trays
Since it's your shop, you can set it up any way you like.
Your the boss:)

Re: How do I???

Thanks, on to the next Q or 2

On my page "Custom Sized Pure Copper Trays, etc", How should I price the item and the shipping, in the fields? I know neither, till I get the Size of the Tray to make.

Thanks Again!

Re: How do I???

Well our rule of thumb is ...figure out what you have in the piece, money wise (what you have invested, including your time) and either double it or triple it.
From what I understand copper is going for a premium price these days...
I wouldn't go cheap. Your going to have to figure that out.
As to mailing, your going to have to take your items to the post office and have them weighed. The mail goes by weight , and charge accordingly.
There are some shops that figure shipping into the price of the piece, and offer free shipping...I did that in the beginning, I got no takers, as soon as I switched to $4.95 I started getting sales??? Go figure?

I'm really excited to see your shop...
hope you open soon...

Re: How do I???

I know how to price my items, and YES Copper Sheet is very expensive. I am looking to add the phrase "Request Custom Item" like delacy has on his page: delacyaccessories.etsy.com When you go there, to the page navigation, on the left hand side (scroll down), you will see "Request Custom Item"... I want this on ALL my pages. I have enabled it, but it does not show on Preview Listing. There is no navigation side bar in the Preview Listing.

How am I to work on a page if I can't see everything?

When I read Etsy's "How can I list a made to order, custom item in my shop?"

Is says "Custom order" listings must be listed for purchase with a set price.

How can that be? dLacy has a Request Custom Item in his navigation side bar.

This isn't making sense...

Thanks

Thanks once again

Re: How do I???

Ok. I think I know what your talking about.
When someone request a custom order, They request it through your Request Order Button. You then work out the details of that custom order with your customer. Beginning with price. Now that's up to you, but most shops get paid 100% up front. I personally require 50% up front, payment in full upon completion of the order, before shipping.
Don't let that Custom Order button throw you, unless that's all you plan on selling?
Don't worry about the listing part...because really all you have to list is "Custom Order for XXXXXXX, with the set price you both agreed upon
so etsy gets their .20 cents.
Once you open your shop, you can enable that "Custom Order" button, and it will be on your left side bar too. ps It won't show up when you list your item...only after.

Re: How do I???

OK thanks.

I was going about it all wrong. From what you say and what I read, the REQUEST CUSTOM ITEM will appear on all of the pages I put on line if I enable the RCI.

Wow! Glad that's over!

Also, I see someone has added me to their circle. Do I add them to MY circle? What do circles do for me and the other circlers?

Thanks

Re: How do I???

That's great.
Circles are a fun way to see what everyone else is looking at.
Once you are put in someone elses circle...if you click on your feed...you will see everything they look at.
If you in turn circle them, they will see everything YOU look at.
There fun in a way...once you start joining teams and making treasuries, it will help get your shop noticed.
In the beginning ...that's how we got our shop name out there.
So, to answer your question? Yes, circle them back. Just be careful about convos...thats considered spam.

Good luck, and have fun.
