Hello everyone!!! For the year of 2019 Etsy announced teams are going to have a new setup so people can be more active in promoting their shops and reconnect. The team icon is going to change also in case you look for the team specifically. Not sure yet what is going to replace the flower, I'll know soon. I'm excited about the changes and reconnecting with those that want to! Posting is not required but is encouraged for this team. I LOVE finding items easier and see what everyone has to offer at a glance. There will be threads of games and information to help. There have been a lot of rumors about the teams which I think will be cleared up when the new setup goes into affect. We'll get the correct information out. Etsy currently offers two promotional tools: Sales and Coupons. A Sale versus/compared to A Coupon? My recent experience . . . I get lots and lots of sales flyers and I get some with coupons . . . one from Jack-in-the-Box (fast food restaurant) . . . "2 for 1" price on 3 different sandwiches . . . good for about 3 weeks . . . in the 1st week I used all 3 because the weather was very hot and it was just easy to buy a meal and bring it home . . . To me a "real coupon" that has value is like a little bit of money. I hang onto it for at least awhile. Sales do not seem to do that much for me any more . . . everyone seems to be having a sale . . . a coupon printed on paper is something special. Now on Etsy we have "Coupon Codes" not the same as a piece of paper? How and where to make a "Coupon Code" more like a coupon? Maybe use one of the ten listings photos for a special Coupon Code? --- --- ---- A Sale A Sale is a promotion that discounts your listing price by a percentage. You can run a sale on a single listing or on multiple listings. Sales are public and will be displayed to all buyers. On occasion, Etsy may aggregate Sales and promote them through our websites, apps, and emails. A Coupon A Coupon is a code that may be redeemed for a discount on an item or free shipping. Coupons are not displayed publicly; as a seller, you may create and distribute Coupons at your discretion. Please note, however, that a Coupon code can be used by any buyer that redeems the code and that a buyer can use a Coupon code on multiple listings and on multiple occasions. You also have the option to automatically send a Coupon as a thank you to your buyers if they are opted in to Etsy’s emails.
