Over the past few years, we've launched Klarna pay-over-time options for buyers in Germany, US, UK, Australia, and Spain. Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re adding the option for buyers in Canada to check out using Klarna’s Pay in 4.
What does this mean? Buyers in Canada can choose to check out using Klarna Pay in 4 when the total value of the items in their cart is $50 - 1,000 CAD*. With this option, buyers will pay the first installment via Klarna when checking out on Etsy. For the remaining three installments, they’ll pay every two weeks, until they’ve paid a total of four times. All buyer payments are handled through Klarna, and Klarna’s terms and conditions apply.
For sellers, nothing in your workflow will change! If you offer Etsy Payments, eligible buyers in Canada will automatically see Klarna as a payment method. You’ll still get your full funds, even if a buyer chooses to pay over time.
