A better way for shoppers to request personalized items

Shoppers visit Etsy over the holidays for one-of-a-kind gifts that are made just for them—in fact, over 25% of sales on Etsy last November and December included a request to personalize an item. And you’ve told us that you need a better way to collect important information from buyers about how they’d like their item personalized.

That’s why we’ve created a new field you can switch on for listings where you offer personalization, for buyers to specify important details about their personalized order before they check out. You control what listings have this field, and what type of information buyers should include.

You can enable personalization on listings starting today. Note that this feature is only available for orders that shoppers place on desktop or on a mobile web browser, and we plan to make it available for purchases placed on the Etsy shopping app soon. Managing which items can be personalized can only be done from a desktop computer or in a mobile web browser.
