I have been asked to start a cosplay thread..
so:
Lets hear some of your favorite cosplays! and for the vendors here, what is the hardest thing to find for your cosplay?

My favorite has nothing to do with Anime actually.
I really love doing Scorpius as Harvey (From Farscape {Henson} which is very much live action anime) in the Hawaiian shirt cocktail in hand.
the hardest part of that costume was the facial appliance. I did a wonderful sculpt and made both hot foam latex and slip latex appliances, but didn't plan on the addition of teeth (prosthetic dental veneers) and the appliances are a rough fit around the mouth.
Currently once I get my shop fully restored from sandy, I am working on full body details / costume. and a new face cast / sculpt for the character

Sorry to say, I'm not into cosplay but I absolutely loved Farscape. :-)

farscape was to me the ultimate live action anime..
of course my fav was Chiana!
for those of you here who have never watched.. you should! especially if you like anime!

My favorite cosplays are always the cosplays we are currently doing.

This year we are doing Soul Eater-I'm Medusa, hubs is Dr. Stein, kidlet #1 is Maka Albarn, kidlet #2 is Tsubaki & kidlet #3 is Death the Kid.

We're also working on a non-anime cosplay of Dr. Horrible. Kidlet #3 will be dr. Horrible, hubs Captain Hammer, kidlet #1 Penny & kidlet #2 evil red Dr. Horrible. I'll probably just be a fan girl.

For us the hardest thing to find is always anything that fits. We've been cosplaying since the girls were 3 & 1 and finding anything that small was impossible other than Halloween costumes which is not what we were looking for. It's getting easier as the kids get older though-they're 6, 8 and a very tall 10 year old. Doesn't help that hubs is a very thin 6'8". We have learned how to make & modify just about everything over the years.

I have molds for the emblem and ring for death the kid BTW just have to sort out my shop (re-building form sandy) and should be able to do a few for you.its great to see families in costuming

Okay, so first one ever and it was thrown together in like 3 days for Halloween (and make hubby's!), so don't laugh... but I was Luffy from One Piece.

I tried SO hard to get abs before then... but I didn't quite make it. Haha.

The only Cosplay I have done so far, and i just did this last year, is Gaara from Naruto. I love him!!
It was difficult in many ways, The first was trying to recreate his Gourd. I found a way to do it and Im currently selling them through my site. I love making them.
The second thing that was difficult to do on the outfit was the fact that im a girl. It wasnt that difficult to cosplay as garra being that his outfit fit so loosely on me, and I loved it when people came to take a picture with me and they were shcoked to realize i was a girl. LOVED IT!!

I have always wanted to go as Sir Integra from Hellsing! I have the hair and would need a suit. My have long black hair too, he could go as Alucard. Wish I could convince him.
