For the Shop Updates, if you have Instagram installed, you should see it at the end. I've only experienced it from an iPhone, so I don't know if it would be different on other phones. It doesn't automatically share to other social media profiles & sometimes the menu doesn't come up. If it's something you've already shared via Shop Updates, you can click on the three dot button to share it again to your SM.

Julie, you can get to the Teams section on the Sell on Etsy app. When you're in the app, click the menu button (little horizontal lines) and you'll see "Teams" about halfway down the list.

Happy Monday! I'm looking forward to a short week here - only working two days this week, I am unbelievably excited! Lots of time for making!

So I had this conversation yesterday with my husband and we are both unsure. Recently I've been noticing a weird trend on Etsy. I'll favorite items and then receive a conversation message from that seller thanking me for the favorite and then basically giving me a sales pitch. It's happened probably 3 times in the last month. I actually find it a little invasive and spammy. I think one person approached it a little better - the message was something along the lines of "This message is for people who have recently favorited my shop, just letting you know about my sale for this weekend only" - I guess I was less bothered by it because it would have directly benefited the customer who could save a bit of money. But the other ones were just like "check out my other items too, tell you friends, blah blah blah" - no incentive to make a purchase, but just being a bit pushy. I don't know, I don't think it's a very good sales tactic, but maybe it works for some sellers. I'm curious to know what other people think! Do/would you do it? Do other sellers do it to you?

It used to be against Etsy's terms of use to send unsolicited convos. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the Etsy do's and don'ts regarding spammy communications in any of the help articles or seller handbook articles. I've reported them in the past.

Good Morning, Monday!
Although I drop in and periodically post, fav, make treasuries, and post on social media, I haven't stopped in long while to say hello and chat.
After being away for a good part of the summer and not closing my shops but taking product with me I am finally staying put for the winter months, I hope!
The summer months prove challenging since we move to Sask. and everyone is on holidays making it hard to sell at markets and create but I will try harder next year!
I would be happy to participate in the Christmas Gift Exchange Kalen, that sounds awesome, I fall quickly into the Christmas mode, I am sneaking a few Christmas things out already :).

On another note, I just used the custom order feature for the first time! I've done custom orders before, but didn't know there was a tool that made them private listings for just the buyer who requested it. Learning new things all the time.

I feel like I am a tad behind, but wondering how many of you have Christmas shipping deadlines posted already? Some of those cut offs must be coming up fast.
Looks like a lay off could be happening in my day job world, scary. I've been at the same job for 16 1/2 years! Thankful for my etsy / sewing.

I got the results from the show I participate in in Bon Accord at Heather Edwards' Pottery Studio...went well for me, but I'm told not so much for some of the others selling things for children. One thing that went well is that I had multiple price points (finally). Half the items sold were for over $65, which is my normal prices, and half were new items just for Christmas priced under $40.

So much knowledge is shared here, some easy to incorporate (price points at shows), and some needing time to work with to become fruitful (now getting price points in Etsy shop). This group rocks!

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone else has been having trouble listing new items? I was doing a shop update last night and kept getting a service not available message and tonight it is the same thing. I hope whatever it is gets resolved soon. :(

Kim, are you using Google Chrome? Last night I got the same messages when logged in with Chrome but was fine when logged in with Internet Explorer and with Safari. (I use a laptop, old iPad, and iPhone, depending where I am. ). I'm on my iPhone and can't search the forums very well from it, but you might give that a try and see if there an ongoing problem. Also, try using s different internet browser if possible.

I'm still having issues (i.e it's not working),when using Chrome on my PC. But Safari on my Mac and on my iPad is working fine. Forced to browse instead of list items...what a hardship for me ;)

I'm in Edmonton for a two day conference, and I think I've found the longest traffic light in history. Two full songs on the radio while we sat on red. Holy wow. I know, such a first world problem.

Happy Tuesday - conference day two then driving home. The rest of the week will be planning and prepping for mom's move to the dementia care facility on Friday. Hoping for some moments of quiet and sanity somewhere in there.

Morning everyone! I already need a chai to get through the day. As per usual, I too much on my mind for upcoming holiday markets.

Plus, I think this year I need to cut back on the holiday gifts for friends and friends. I was thinking I should do some DIY gifts. Any suggestions or examples will be much appreciated.

I was thinking of trying canning for the first time, but I think I should do a test run first and let myself be the test subject.

Jenny, canning is very simple; we do a lot of both hot water and pressure canning. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Oh Donna! I'm so glad there was an agreement made to move your mom! (apologies for not reading all of last weeks' posts if you mentioned it there) I hope it's not as stressful for you now. I thought of you so often throughout...

Had my Studio Tour, Show and Sale this past weekend; it was very good! (one more in December) Plus quality time with my granddaughter who is now in her first year at U of Regina. She had a week off, so came home!

Good luck with canning Jenny! It's such a feeling of accomplishment! I'm sure you'll be thrilled with the results!
