Hello It sounds like I am not the only one who's had disappointing shows. I made 15.00!! It was a great location and lovely hall. But there were o many vendors and NO buyers. Absolutely crazy The vendors were all making trades with each other. I just couldn't believe it. It was one LONG day.
That was two crappy shows in a row for me. Hubby says no more shows for me after this season, I really have to think long and hard about that. I am hoping the new show this weekend will be better.

But I did spend the rest of the weekend with my grandson. Funny kid he's turning into. He has an amazing sense of humor and was doing things and saying gotcha again! He got me at least four times this weekend. I was so amazed by it. We all spent the weekend just laughing at stupid stuff which was great.

Happy Monday! It's going to be an insane week for me! One of the busiest times at work, but I also have a table at the Truck Holiday Market this Saturday (at the Truck art gallery in Sunalta). I have no idea what the market will be like, so I'm trying to be conservative about it. I'm pretty much ready for the market too - just a few small details to work out in the evenings. I was feeling unbelievably stressed about it last week, but I put a ton of hours in this weekend and now I'm feeling much, much better. Worst case, I sell nothing and have a bunch of new stuff for my Etsy shop! :D

Snow, snow, snow. Looks beautifully peaceful outside our living room window but the weather made Hwy 2 a nightmare. Wish I didn't need to drive to the city again tomorrow. Our puppy dog absolutely LOVES the snow. She's hilarious to watch in it, burying her nose and leaping up, running around just to do it again. I bet there's many kids who are happy to have it too.

Just checking in! I think it will be busy couple of weeks for me. Just when I think I have a handle on what is selling and what's not not...my customers decide to switch it up on me, I always sell my gift stuff really well, but earrings for me are one of those things that are just ho hum...well, I sold an unbelievable amount of earrings this weekend at two separate shows! So my week will be spent making earrings to restock the supply that was supposed to last till the end of my last sale in December!! Guess there could be worse issues to have! Does anyone else find this happens to them too?

OMG what are the chances three that's 3 printers in the house are all out of ink????
Crazy one is laser and two are the same cause I got them both for under 50 bucks one day. lol Knew what I was doing at the time but!!!!!!!
We;ve replaced the ink twice already then suddenly I can't print labels and am too stupid to think two printers have no ink. Delete everything attached to the printers and try to relink the printers to my computer. Oh crap all the printers were some how installed like four times or something. It took my son searching like crazy for something stupid mom might have done. So I did try to reinstall all the printers again and again and then decide well now the shipping labels will print for me. DUHHHH 15 of them installed!!! how much fun is that??? Well now they all ere deleted but still didn't work so now hubby will buy me new ink for only one of them and we will see what happens next!!!! Oh life is so much fun..

happy snow day. I had another good day at my show on Sunday - sold a stained glass lamp which was awesome. and it was close to home so I got to see the end of the fantastic Eskimo win!

I have another show this Saturday and that may be it.

as for selling on etsy, I have listings but sell almost nothing.. not sure if people need to touch glass to buy it there is just so much it is tough to make a choice. either way it doesn't cost me a ton, and with Instagram and Facebook I am reaching customers that way as well.

gearing up to go out and shovel snow again. sigh. thankful that my only appointment today is a walk to my hair appointment.

Sounds many of you are really busy!

This week is my insane week too - 2 crafts shows this weekend (Spruce and FOC). Oh, and in the last 2 hours we bought a house and my truck got totalled (hubby is okay - a car was sliding sideways across his lane so he steered towards the front of the car to avoid t-boning the driver side door). Hopefully no more excitement for a while!

Etsy has slowed down for me lots too. Not sure if they are tweaking the search again or if it's just getting to be too many sellers! It's getting tougher to stand out. But overall, I am getting better $ sales - fewer items, but more big ticket ones, so that's always good.

Made it to Edmonton safe and sound, but it took over 4 hours to drive the slick highway. I'm excited and nervous again for the Make it show this year. Hope everyone that has a booth does really well! I'm going to do my best to try to see everyone since I'll have a helper over Saturday and Sunday.

Sales are down for me too, but I'm secretly a bit thankful since I'm up to my ears in day-job work and house-renovation work. If it keeps up in Jan/Feb I'll be complaining then though. :P

I just received one of my biggest Etsy orders! A whole bunch of Love Catchers... need to start packing it up and get it out the door. My shop hasn't been crazy busy, for which I am thankful at the moment (it was busy Sept). I don't have the energy for too much of that right now. Just enough customer orders and random sales to keep me satisfied without the stress :-)

I expect sales at most craft shows will be down across the board this year. Folks are less inclined to shop handmade when they are worried about their jobs & the economy, in my opinion.

Good luck to everyone doing shows this weekend though! Especially all the teamies at Make It! Wish I could get up there just to shop!
