Sixty years--wow! This last weekend we celebrated 29 years; I can't imagine the stories and life adventures that come with 60! Congrats to your parent!

The "new" house is a total fixer-upper inside and out. Right now it is really gross, even after professional cleaning. A couple weeks until possession, then its demolition time! Bring your sledge hammers and your aggression, lol.

Looks like I can do the Dec 16th event at the Music Centre. Holly is sending a link later on today to promote it.
Heard from a happy customer in Georgia and she wants to write a review but the lamps she ordered - the page for it is expired. Anyone know how she can still do this? They purchased four of my early model pendant lights for their kitchen reno and are happy with the look.

I've also been accepted to do the 16th at the music centre on the 16th. I'm looking forward to doing it. Just hope I get my voice back by then. I have two shows left plus this one so it would be nice to be able to talk! lol

Good afternoon!

Hope everyone is doing well. I've actually had a few sales through Etsy since opening back up which is a nice surprise. I have 3 more markets to attend before Christmas rolls around so that will keep me busy in addition to my actual job.

I'm considering selling prints of a few of my paintings once the "warm woolies" season dies down. I figure, I'm an artist but I don't sell my art except on skin and that seems silly to me.

Had a happy surprise in Inglewood yesterday. Saw three of my version 1 Plain lamps in the shop window at Plant. The idea for Plain actually came from the owner of this shop & my daughter. I put it on my instagram feedhttps://www.instagram.com/ceramicfixtures. The version 2 lamps that I sell now are still Plain but the shade is removable and the cord has a groundwire so it can be hardwired. The only problem is price- the better cords are from the US- yikes- mucho denaros.

my parents took us (my sister and our hubbies) to Hawaii ten years ago for their 50th. they are most comfortable with Vegas and since they are paying, who can say no, right? I am so lucky to have them here and healthy enough to travel. every trip I think it will ne the last and then we plan another one. off to get some errands done then into the studio after lunch.

Hi everyone,

I needed a good break when I got back from Make it and during that break I got my Christmas tree up! I always use Dec 1st as the goal to get decorations up because the month will be short for me since I go to Edmonton for the holidays every year.

Make it was not as good for as it was last year, but it was still a great turnout and a great response to my colouring book collab, so I ended up going with their guaranteed booth form. I don't think they've done it before, but this year they handed out forms to vendors to get a guaranteed booth for 2016 holidays. The catch is a non-refundable deposit and they did clarify booth prices won't change.

I've barely taken any of my stuff out of my car because tonight is the Winter Word Fest at the central Calgary Library. Three hours and I hope it turns out well.

Then, of course I'm going to be shopping at Market Collective this weekend. I've still got presents to buy. Hehe.

Ann I told hubby he has to come with me to music centre but he is Santa at westbrook mall again this year. He's actually jealous that I get to go see it before he does!! Man I've waited 40 years to do something like this to him! lol

Still working on a few items to hopefully sell there! I'm doing mostly my Xmas stuff instead of all the other stuff. Hoping it will sell since it will be my last chance to sell it off. Hoping it will be a good one for all of us!

Starting to feel better. I yelled at the cat to stop scratching the grill of hubby's amp and I got my voice back today. It was great to hear myself again. I've barely whispered for a week! And show on Sunday so it's great I will be able to talk! And not take the white board and marker my son said to do. lol

Does anyone else get frustrated when you sign up for a "handcrafted"market only to discover half the vendors are not hand crafted? I'm in a hallway with 4 other jewelry vendors and all 4 are not hand crafted. I just drastically downgraded my expectations for the day... Sigh

Oh Donna that really sucks. Most of my shows have been similar. It is frustrating to say the least.
I decided I just want to get through them and be done for the rest of the season. It is one of the worst season's shows I have ever had. But onward and upward

I find it really depends on the show/event.

I've heard the Lloydminster PreChristmas Craft Sale is insane. I'm seriously considering entering it next year. I believe it's like a $300 table fee so it better be damn good!

Donna, perhaps all of the buyers that were looking for handmade jewelry will end up at your table buying you out of stock!

Donna, if you asked all the right questions before registering, but they lied to you, that sounds like breach of contract & they owe you money back. Always make sure to get a definition of what they are calling handcrafted, & whether or not they are also inviting other types of vendors. It also really helps to talk directly to people who have done the show in the past (although shows can change, so that isn't as much of a guarantee)

Just wanted to let everyone know that there have been huge problems with direct checkout payouts all week. You may have received the usual notice that money was being deposited, yet it wasn't. Looks like tons of yesterday's payments didn't go through:

but it has been going on all week & Canadians were among the most affected in the middle of the week.

(strangely, this happened last year as well right after Canada Post was rejecting Etsy labels b/c their bill was unpaid)

Donna that sucks big time. I have suffered through those. Also those that "promoted like crazy" and had zero traffic. Hoping you make out OK. Re treasury blitz I say skip it. Do any shops benefit from them? I know I do not.
