First sorry for the wait I get kinda worn out after so many critiques a day but here I am fresh and bright eyed ready to look at your shop :)

Your Shop: Your banner and policies are good. Titles seem good. Your tags are alright.

Critique:

Shop Announcement. Your announcement is great except you could add more keywords to get higher placement in search!

Photos: Your photos are far too dark. You should get a white piece of construction paper or tag board and either venture outside or turn the exposure of you camera up to capture more light.

Shipping: You are severely limiting your options by cutting out Australia and Asia. Almost a third of my orders come from Australia or Hong Kong.

Inventory: 100 items are key to being a regular seller on Etsy! Get to and stay above that mark and you can go from spare change to a career.

Your Shop: I like your Banner and Policies.

Shop Critique:

Photos: Some of your photos are good some are dark. You should try to go back and rework the dark ones so you have a nice consistent looking shop.

Shop Announcement: Google uses this section to help determine your placement in search so you want to talk about you,your shop,why you love what you do and pack this area with keywords. Jewelry,custom jewelry,bracelets, necklaces etc. Work these words in the text and you will improve your Google placement.

Shop titles: You want to add as much info as you can in your titles to improve your search results on Etsy and Google. Placing most important info first.

Awareness Bracelet "GOT LDN"

Custom Bracelet, LDN Awareness, Men's Accessories, 8.5"

I put custom bracelet first because people are more likely to search for that then awareness bracelet.

Tags: This is your money, this is where Google places most of it's weight when determining search results so you must use all 13 tags!

Letter beads, silver spacer beads, round steel beads, black tube beads ,steel rod beads, black and white bead ,LDN Awareness,custom bracelet, mens accessories, mens fashion, mens bracelet,jewelry for men,bracelet

Shipping: You are cutting out a huge potential customer base by not including Asia and Australia! You can be a worldwide brand why limit your potential?

Inventory: You are sooo close to that magic number of 100 items! keep pushing :)

Guess what? Just joined the team!

Please take a look at my shop and let me know what you think. I seem to be doing OK with 52 sales in 6 months. Some of those sales were custom orders of up to 10 products (registers as 1 sale).

I would like to be able to crank up my sales and have started a two-week St. Paddy's Day sale. I have had 2 buyers in 5 days.

I also love that you ship worldwide!

Critique:

Shop announcement. This is your chance to really tell people what you do. While also improving your Google search position. Google crawls your announcement for keywords so withing the text of your announcement you should overflow it with keywords. Jewelry,silver toned jewelry,handmade bracelets etc.

Description: You need to add more info. Who made it? What size is it at it's longest? why should I buy this? what does it go with?. The more info you use and more keywords you use the more sales you will get!

Inventory: Get working because everything good on Etsy starts at 100 items. As I was told when I started you can make sales under 100 but you can make a living above it.

Title: You want to break it up and add the most info you can to increase the audience you reach.

Tags: This is where your money is you MUST use all 13. Each tag is another direction marker for Google to send eyes and wallets your way!

Accessories and Women dont count because they are Meta tags so your 13 counts at gift ideas for girls.

Love your banner! Your policies though a bit brief are clear. I like your titles and inventory!

Shop Announcement: You have some of the most recognizable comic book hero's but haven't mentioned them, coasters,or anything else about what you do in your shop announcements. This is one of the place Google crawls to decide your place in search. You need to tell people about you,your shop, your process but most importantly overflow it with keywords. Make sure you are clever and mix it in with your text to break it up.


Photos: Until I read your description I have no clue what I'm buying. You should use all 5 photos. Let's see the coaster. Let's see it in use. Lets see different angles.

Shipping: You are SEVERELY limiting your audience thus your possible income. Open it up worldwide!

Tags: Use all 13 with as many compound keywords as possible! Google gobbles up compound keywords like Pac-Man eats power pellets!

HI team! Thanks for the invite :)

So although our shop is new I am not new to Etsy. My other shop KIDSCOLOR...which I could probably use help on too has been around since 2009. I, however being a new Mommy and other such things have been away for a bit and feel like everything has changed!
I have search ads running and feel like I re-worked our keywords and tags to death and still not getting as much traffic as I would like.
I'm so confused as to why the same few shops seem to dominate the first few pages....Is it because they have more items? More Sales? What determines them getting top billing over and over again?
Any insight...and of course a shop critique would make my day!!

Photos: Your backgrounds are great, I can kinda see your products but you really want to up the exposure/brightness of the photos. You are fortunate enough to live in Australia, For photos that is amazing because of all that sun. Take that background outside and shoot as many sets as you can in the natural sunlight!

Shop Polices: You are costing yourself sales by not filling these out. Alot of Etsy buyers look at your policies even before your items. If they are not filled out you have already lost that sale to the next shop that had them filled out.

Inventory: Get working because everything good on Etsy starts at 100 items. As I was told when I started you can make sales under 100 but you can make a living above it.

Photos: Backgrounds should be white and well lit. A good trick is to buy a large piece of construction paper,find a box and glue that piece to the box the get another piece of white construction paper and set it on the table and position the box as close up or far back on the table paper as you need. Get as much lighting as you can, the brighter the better as long as you dont wash out your product.
consistency is the key. The product is the star not the background.

Titles: You want to add as much info as you can to draw the most eyes to your items.

Hi Nikki,

A lot has changed recently since the switch to relevancy search. If you'd like your other shop looked at join the team and ask on here with that shop. Search ads in my experience are worthless. Please stop wasting your money a.s.a.p.
Some shops dominate because they have done their SEO homework.

Any craft based on wood is difficult and yet amazing :o) it's hard to work on wood and you need a lot of patience. To be a good craftsman with this specific material, years are needed to earn experience and optimize your level as much as possible.

Thanks for the critique. I don't know how you have time to do all of these, but it's cool that you do :)

I'm working on new earrings and I'm photographing a few more when I get time. As for titles I didn't know that google reads it all as one word---I'll definitely look into that.

Eventually I'll figure out international shipping! Or maybe I should just take the leap and figure it out as I go. Food for thought.
