Newbie needs help!

Hello everyone, I recently opened an Etsy store and have been designing products on Gooten. I have products ready to go, I have my Etsy store integrated with Gooten, however when I try to save my Gooten products to Etsy store, I get an error saying:

Something is preventing this product from connecting to store: Please confirm that your site is not broken, and you have not changed access to your site. If the problem persists, please contact our customer support.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent this from happening so I can get my products over to Etsy?

Thanks so much

Christa

I am getting the same error message.  Were you able to fix the problem?

Re: Newbie needs help!

The original post is a bit old but I couldn't find a newer thread so I'm responding here in case anyone else runs into this issue. I received this exact same message and wasn't able to post anything from Gooten onto my Etsy shop for a couple of weeks. I hadn't posted anything for a good year or more so I tried a number of things before I was finally able get past the issue:

  • Confirmed my shop was still active and not disabled, cancelled, or suspended.
  • Ensured my credit card and banking info was up to date.
  • Confirmed my SS # was entered in acct details.
  • Made sure my Etsy shop was still connected to my Gooten acct.
  • Cleared out browser cache and cookies, made sure pop-ups were not blocked.
  • Not my issue but I read that if you have more than two Etsy stores, Etsy will freeze your account when you try to open another store. You must first alert Etsy that you plan to open any additional stores connected to Gooten
  • What ended up being my issue was that I had not completed my back-end administrative set up when I created my store - or Etsy changed it's requirements from when I originally set up the account. I never selected my Return Policy or post my Privacy Policy. Once I updated that, I was able to add items from Gooten into my Etsy shop.

This Trouble Shooting article from Gooten was helpful for me.
