My love for learning different crafts, led me to making my own creations out of batik & in 1991 I created my first toy using batik from Ramses Wissa Wassef art center and in 2010 I was asked by the head of Child & Adolescent Creative Unit, at the Arts Center of The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, to teach the children toy making and weaving. I gladly accepted and it was happily a success with the children. On another project, I worked with a friend to preserve forgotten Egyptian lullabies by collecting & illustrating them in the book “Nam ya Habibi Nam: Egyptian folksongs” Today I write stories for each batik figurine I make and draw their illustrations with the hope of publishing a children’s book someday.
