I have always loved to "craft" but it wasn’t until my first grandchild (a little girl) was born that I really thrived. I taught myself how to crochet, sew and how to make anything “girlie” that I could. Alayna is now 4-years-old and she has a little sister, Emelia, who is 2-years-old! My granddaughters have been my inspiration in everything that I have created from tutus to flower nests—but my new found love for Procreate, digital hand lettering and creating new palettes has become my favorite thing to do! I still make all of the newborn and girlie things that I can but it is exclusively for my daughter-in-law now. She has always loved photography; just didn’t make it a career choice until she saw my real struggle in my lack of photography skills while photographing my product for my Etsy shop. My constant unfocused, lopsided photos are what catapulted her into her photography career today. I have gorgeous twin daughters, who are 27-years-old, married but alas, no children as of yet! I tease them (without mercy) over it being past time that they start a family with their husbands—but all great things come to those who wait! Brianna is a published author of two poems and has written a novel that she has recently put chapters up on Inkitt. My daughter, Brittany has just graduated from college this past year with a degree in psychology and plans on going back to college this fall to start her Master’s degree. I have a wonderful son that served his four years in the United States Marine Corps, with pride and honor. He made the hard choice to get out of the Marines and to move back to our hometown to raise his little girls near family. We are so blessed for his decision to bring our granddaughters back home! We are so proud of the husband and father that is is. Our youngest daughter, is in her Senior year of high school and will be heading off to Ball State in the fall. We are over-the-moon happy for her! Life is busy! This past year has hit us pretty hard as it has everyone else. My husband and I both had come in contact with COVID. My husband had faired much better than I did (which I am so thankful for) he is my absolute best friend and love of my life. I am still struggling with lingering side effects from having COVID but I am on the mend. We are just so thankful to have survived COVID, and our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones. Like many, we take one day at a time, and pray for the best!
