how to use pinterest?

Hello, I am new to the team. I use pinterest just to pin things I like that are on my page and my own things, but I don't really know how to interact. How do I join group boards so I can post? what are some other things I can do on pinterest to be more active?

I am still learning as well. I have joined some teams, and very nice people have started following me or repinning my items. (Thank you...! :) )
