Just started. Have done nothing but already have boards. How's that? Is there somewhere other than the pinterest site that can hold my hand and walk me through it? It seems awesome, but I don't want to start off on the wrong foot. -

A: yes, when you first join Pinterest they have some automatic boards that show up. You can delete these and create your own by clicking in the middle of any board, and then clicking "edit" on the top right. scroll to the bottom of the edit page to delete the board. You can also just change the name of the board.

Ok, I have a couple questions.

I have tried to log in through my email account, but I must have forgotten the password. How do I request my password be sent to my email account?

Since I can't remember my password, I've been logging in through facebook. This has made my Facebook profile picture become my Pinterest account picture. How do I change it?

I tried changing my picture in edit profile, but it just goes to a page not found after I click save profile.

I also tried unlinking my Facebook account, but now I think that may have really messed up my account.

Just in case anyone else has this issue - I liked the Pinterest group on Facebook and was able to get my problem solved there!

So I recommend going to their facebook page if you have any issues!

Sure! This link is to the page for the Pinterest "App" but they helped me with my Pinterest problem even though I don't use the app . . . yet :) I'm not sure what it does, lol

Hello!

I'm having a problem with my recent activity in that it's only showing recent activity from days ago and also two of my boards don't show my pins until you click into them and you can only see those boards' pins.

I haven't really figured out the recent activity either. Like if someone repins my pin and I don't check it right away . . . when I go to Pinterest it's too old and won't show up in recent activity. However, clicking on pins individually does show me the history for that particular pin . . . so you could try that.

I don't know that there's a list of pins you "liked" either, if you find out how to see those let me know.

as for the boards - I don't know, but try asking for help at the Facebook Pinterest page, they were able to help me out with some of my glitches.

I love, love, love Pinterest already and it's only my second day!

I can't find "edit profile" anywhere. Help!

Also, I have tried and tried to add the Pinteres bookmarklet to Safari on my iPad but have FAILED miserably! You can't really drag and drop on the iPad, so I am stumped. Is it possible? I've tried in Safari and Mercury, to no avail.

I've just been on it for a few days now and also love it already! I did have a lot of issues when I first started - I was deleting boards/renaming boards/creating new boards and things weren't showing up or going away. It seems to have all sorted itself out now though.

To edit your profile - click on your name on the upper right menu bar. This takes you to a page with all your boards. On the left side under your profile picture, you should see a big Edit Profile button.

I originally signed up through facebook then unlinked my account from the Edit Profile page. Didn't notice any issues related to that...

re:ipad bookmarklet -- it looks like you have to sync with your computer to get it to show up-

iPhone and iPad

1. Add the Pinterest bookmarklet to your computer's Safari toolbar.
2. Sync your iPad with your computer. Be sure to sync your Safari bookmarks.
3. Use 2 fingers to scroll through your list of boards on the iPad or iPhone.

I have a board on my account, one that I created when I didn't know what I was doing (with no pins on it). Whenever I click on it to delete it, it links to 404 not found. But the empty board is there, still. Any help is appreciated!

I am having trouble deleting my initial boards!! I am doing what the internet says but each time I try to "edit" a board it is telling me the page doesn't exist! What is going on Im soo annoyed!!

I just started yesterday. I had requested the invite on Friday night. So for me it was about 48 hours or so.

I love it and have already seen the most amazing things!

I wish we could have a 'pin it" button on our etsy product pages.

I only had to wait a couple days for my Pinterest invite. Mary I can send you an invite if you want - not sure if that goes out immediately or there is still a wait for it. You can message me your email address if you want to try!

I had the same issue with the pinterest boards when I first logged in, but it seemed to resolve itself within a day or two.

I'm a newbie to Pinterest too. I am having trouble with adding tags to a picture. It says to use the number sign (#) before the word, but then when I research and see my item, it actually shows the # before the word, instead of being just a tag word viewed like everyone elses. I hope that made sense. Any suggestions on how to easily tag things? I'm so glad to be here!!

Does anyone have a simple solution for adding etsy items to Pinterest? I've been creating treasuries, creating an html version to post on my blog and then pinning them from there. I don't always want it on my blog AND Pinterest, though....feels a little redundant. Any suggestions?

i need help!! i have an account with pinterest and have successfully re-pinned some images from someone else's board to my own. however, i cannot seem to pin successfully directly from a blog or other online site. i have installed the "pin it" button on my tool bar and have followed all the prompts to pin. pinterest says that i have successfully pinned the item but when i look on my board, the image is not visible...just a little red "X" that you have to right click to open. what am i doing wrong?

yesterday everything worked very well
today impossible to pin anything witht eh pin it button, I get a short message on the link art of my Windows 7/Google Chrome screen : seach name of the web page...
same trouble with Internet Explorer.

I'm also having problem today. It says that:
A username and password are being requested by http://evan.pinterest.com. The site says: "Restricted"

I write my own password and don't be accepted.

I guess that they're making some changes, since today I see a different web design.

If tomorrow isn't everything back to normal, I will mail them.

Does anyone have another guess?

For a couple of days now when I repin something I am not able to scroll through my board names. I have to just select one that appears as an option and move it to the correct board later from my page...I didn't know what it could be because the arrows show up and everything, I am just not able to scroll through all of my boards. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I am having a problem with Pinterest. I have a bunch of pins on my page that someone else pinned. I am not following her or any of her boards - how do I get rid of all these pins from her???

I'm in the same boat. Have no clue as to how I'm supposed to make it so that people can add my things to their boards. this is confusing.
