I'm pretty new to Pinterest, but had an idea that I thought might help Etsians promote their work without blatantly filling their own boards with items from their shop. So I created this board ...

... as a place for you all to pin your goods. The only thing is, I need to add your usernames as "contributors" before you're actually able to do that. So if you want to participate, simply post your username here, I'll add you to the contributor list (can't promise immediate response), and then you'll be free to pin at will.

Never mind. I got it now. Here's how I had to do it:

First, I followed one of your boards. Then, I had to use your name (Lauren) instead of your username. Screwy system, but it worked.

So now you can go ahead and give it a try.

How do I pin it to that board? It didn't come up in my board choices and I'm not really sure how to do it any other way.

First go directly to the board

and then look in the top right section of your screen. You should see a button that says "Add +". Click that, and then click add a pin, type or copy in your shop URL, scroll through until you find the image you want to pin, pin it, comment and you're done.

I just tested with one of my own and it worked fine.

Another thought (but one that I can't test myself)...

Follow that particular board and then see if it comes up as a choice.

That was my mistake (I didn't save settings when I put your name in there the first time). Your avatar is there now, so that's a good sign.

Give it another try (2nd method would be easier, if that works).

This is going well so far. There are 11 contributors signed up, 12 pins and a bunch of likes and re-pins. The more people we have pinning on this board, and the more we re-pin each others submissions, the more exposure there will be for all of us.
