I upcycle old wooden sieves into beautiful, design, playful wall decor elements, by adding decorative paper in the place of the metal web.
They are easy to hang - one nail and that's it ! - easy to move, fun to match one with another... Inspiring creativity in endless ways...
Using the sieve as a frame around a lovely decorative paper, i choose trendy colours and patterns, mix and matching the past with the present...
Each sieve is unique, many are not completly round !
I take great care of them, cleaning, paper sanding them for a softer touch, and impregnate them against wood borers. I then wax them so each is sure to warm the atmosphere with its awesome aged patina.
Sometimes you'd like to freshen up your decor with a touch of orange, or blue...but you wouldn't want your whole room in orange or blue...the sieves are just what your walls are craving for !
