Re: New listings!

Hi Tracy,
this is my second team. The first i joined yesterday, also, "Etc"...just for the fun of it. I hadn't gotten the hang of seeing how many are on the teams until after i joined here. I would love to see this develop. I spotted it right away going down the team lists. Are you familiar of how to find a team without knowing the specific name for search...say 'Northwest bla bla bla" ..since ia m in Oregon? I see there are over 700 teams...hard to go through them all to find one.. your work is exquisite.... going to go look again. have fun, Sandi

★ The United States of America Quarter Dollar ★

☛ History in Our Hands and Now Available Here on a Pendant ☚

☛ A quarter dollar, commonly shortened to quarter, is a coin worth ¼ of a United States dollar or 25 cents. The quarter has been produced since 1796.

☛ In 1999, the 50 State Quarters program of circulating commemorative quarters began; these have a modified Washington obverse and a different reverse for each state, ending the former Washington quarter's production completely. On January 23, 2007, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 392 extending the state quarter program one year to 2009.

☛ These pendants do not hold an actual US quarter dollar that can tend to oxidize but Altered & Enhanced Artwork of US Quarter Design showing the dark shading for produce the artistic design. Sure it is great to carry a little special history about the 50 states on the actual US quarter dollars, yet, a pendant can share a lovely lady's home state as a daily wear pendant.

Enjoy this newly released pendant edition. More to come soon, and all 50 states can be ordered now.

The choice of 25¢ as a denomination, as opposed to 20¢ which is more common in other parts of the world, originated with the practice of dividing Spanish Milled Dollars into eight wedge shaped segments (called "pieces of eight"). At one time "two bits", that is, two wedges, each wedge an eighth, thus a quarter of the Spanish real, was a common nickname for a quarter.

While show in Dura-Silver-plated™ these are available in 5 additional finishes of your choice. For yourself a great way to share a little of your state with others and as a gift for another something very special indeed!

Thanks for sharing in the small part of American history today!

Re: New listings!

A matryoshka doll (Russian nesting doll) knows how to bundle up well and save space.

The dolls are constructed from one block of wood, which is essential to their making.
A block of wood is cut in half. Then, a piece of wood is taken out of the top and bottom pieces. This continues until there is very little wood left. The wood is carved into an oval shape. The matching pieces are put together. The pieces are painted and nested inside one another.

✔ Matryoshka AKA Russian Nesting Doll original artwork is from a noteworthy Russian artist. The first Russian nested doll set was carved in 1890 by Vasily Zvyozdochkin from a design by Sergey Malyutin, who was a folk crafts painter at Abramtsevo. Traditionally for the actual wooden dolls, the outer layer is a woman, dressed in a sarafan, a long and shapeless traditional Russian peasant jumper dress. The figures inside may be of either gender; the smallest, innermost doll is typically a baby turned from a single piece of wood.
