Hello and Welcome! I created this team because I wanted to have a place to consolidate information. This team will not be focusing on basic SEO, there are already a lot of teams for that. We will assume you already have your basic SEO and relevancy down, and will instead be discussing the most recent changes occurring on Etsy, and how to MAINTAIN that relevancy we have all worked so hard for.

My name is Hannah from BridgeTollBeading and I opened up my shop a few months ago after my new husband & I were robbed blind of everything we had in our first home so I decided to start something fresh, new, & exciting with my jewelry passion! I am truly enjoying connecting with so many amazing people on Etsy all across the world who all seem to be SO kind and helpful, it is awesome! I am so grateful for all the great advice I've gotten from people of all walks of life and all kinds of unique shops and am very thankful to have such wonderful people to inspire me on here especially in the threads/teams (which I'm still trying to learn the ins & outs of! Lol).

My name is Carol, l live in the Gold Coast Hinterland Queensland Australia. I opened my Etsy shop MySweetSischief in July this year. It took a few weeks to make my first sale, but so far I have made 13 sales, I feel pretty good about that, but still I'd like to increase them. I design and make woman's lounge and sleepwear, please have a look, and if you have any pointers let me know. I search through Etsy and have found so many amazing shops with beautiful wears, there are a lot of wonderfully creative people in this world and it is great to have a place were we can sell our creations. What is my qoestion!
when I list my stuffs, is it better starting the first types always with the diffrent sayings?
forexcample I am Rug dealer
so I always write or start saying VİNTAGE TURKİSH RUG and other smillar words folloving.
İs the first type more effective than others folloving inthe searchings?

I joined Etsy in July 2012 . . . now some 4 years later things including RELEVANCY on Etsy and Google have changed . . .

A friend who used to work for Google stated in 2012 I should expect ongoing changes in how search works . . . and, Google does employe real living people to do some of the work . . . perhaps what I have found best is to try various words and phrases in my personal and business searches . . . EXAMPLE . . . I 1st search for a product and then I add the word SALE and I then find the product on sale so I can save money on the product . . .

Of course, different folks do type in different words and phrases even though they may be searching for the same products and services . . .

"Buzz Words" used by many are often good to consider . . . yes, let's get relevant and keep on getting relevant in what we do . . .

We specialize in the buying and selling of jewelry, gemstones, precious metals, antiques and collectibles, and finding the perfect piece for every person! Hi, I'm Amy. Glad to be here and thank you for having me. Will be reading everything here to try to catch up on what's happening now.

I thought I was finally starting to get the titles and tags under control and I was getting found. I was probably averaging about 7-8 sales a week for the last year or so but since Oct 9th my sales have fallen to nearly nothing. If it had occurred gradually I would think it was because people got their fill of items like mine, but all at once, I don't think so. Is it Etsy's latest experiment? Maybe it's because Etsy wants us to pay for promos or we will be invisible? Do I need to make more changes to titles and tags. Any critique would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! My name is Vai, and I would like to thank you for letting me join your team. Seems like this is the best place for me to start. :) I joined Etsy in 2010, but had no clue what I was doing. After one year I had just a couple of sales and was going nowhere. Then I had some serious medical problems that needed to be addressed, so Etsy fell by the wayside:(
I'm now back again, as Pisces Glass Gallery, and am hoping to learn the ins and outs and terminology, etc., to make my shop successful. I promoted myself, but have not had any results from it, nor can I find where my listings are promoted. Please check out my shop, if you would be so kind, and let me know what suggestions you all might have to get me going in the right direction. I've been open (again) since October of this year, but have had only one sale. It occurred within a couple of days of posting my shop, so I got really excited! Unfortunately, it's been dead ever since. Any comments, ideas, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. By the way, what exactly is meant by relevancy and SEO? I told you I was "new" (aka dumb). LOL!
