I get the views but no sales unfortunately. I wonder if the issue is my tags? or the title of my items? I m not creative when it comes to naming haha

Really cute cosmetic bags! I'm new to Etsy, so this is not professional feedback... ! It took me awhile to figure out that the bags were customizable. You could include that in the title and description. I saw the photos of the cats and I was confused because I couldn't find the cat bag, and then finally figured out it is a custom option. Also not clear sometimes on the size of items. It took me awhile to figure out what you make and how they connect, and how it ties in to your shop name (I expected pajamas :) Good luck! It seems really challenging to get seen on Etsy so I'm trying to figure it all out too!

I have the same issue. I get views and traffic but not many sales compared to the traffic coming in.

Re: Getting found in searches! Any advice helps! :)

I’ve been on Etsy for just over two weeks, so I too am very new. That said, I have made a couple of sales. Like most artisans, I prefer to be creating over spending time on sales, but let’s face it, sales are what differentiates a hobbiest from a business. So, I spent almost two days on revising my titles and tags to see if I could move my items up. My goal was to be placed in the first three pages, assuming that potential customers would lose interest before seeing my items if they were further down the list. I was pretty successful, more than doubling traffic to my items in just 24 hours. While my formula is very novice and not scientific, here’s what I did. 1. Do your research. Look at the titles and tags that those items appearing near the top are using. Their tags can be seen at the bottom of their listing under “Related to this item”. Right or wrong, it seems that the more times a key word is used in the title and tags, the higher your item will appear. 2. Consider the various words and phrases your potential customers might use to search. And, if they’re looking for a gift, they may not know what specifically what they’re looking, but they do know who they are buying for. For example, you’re not a camper, but you are gifting a camper, include “Gift for camper”. 3. Use synonyms in the title and or tags: sleigh/sled; decoration/ornament etc. 4. And finally, split words that could be searched differently by potential customers. For example, “handcrafted” is one word, but searchers might mistakenly type it as “hand crafted”. I’ll close by repeating that I am new, and certainly not an expert, but some of these have worked for me. By the way, I need more reviews on my items and my shop so any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Check me out at NiagaraWoodCraft. Good luck fellow Etsyers!
