Hmmm, not sure what the problem is

Good afternoon everyone!

So, I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have a little bit of Etsy experience, because I have another that I have had running since last October. That shop has gotten a few sales (not alot, but a few).

I have had 1 sale with my new shop and I understand it can take some time for the sales to start generating, so I am not discuraged with this fact.

What has got me baffled is that I am not getting any views, most times less than 5 per day and even less favorites.

I use Search Ads, favour other's items, starting to build my circle. I thought I have done a good job tagging my items, but maybe not.

Like I said, I am not disturbed but having only 1 sale, in fact, I was surprised to get 1 so quickly.

It's the low views and favorites that is concerning me.

Any ideas?

? I'm baffled right along with you -- I think your shop is great! I added you to to my favorites and my circle. I hope that helps. I have no sales and no experience, but I think your shop looks good.

One thing -- on your policies page under payment it should read "accepted" not excepted. Just a little grammar mix up, but I don't think that tiny thing should have any bearing on your views.

Hi Sherry - Welcome to our team!!! You have a beautiful shop. Very professional and well done. Even your pictures are good and clear and you try to give several different views of your items.

Really the only thing I saw that you could still work on would be those tags. You use several - but on a few items I noticed there were only 7 or so. Try to use all 13 and then try typing in some of those words and see if your product turns up on the search. As I was looking at a few tags I thought you could also use the tag words "accent", "knitted", "hand knitted", "wrap around", "elegant", "style" and "new style". Sometimes it can be hard to think of 13. And again, I did see that on many of your items you had used them all. I really am not criticizing because I think your shop is just about perfect just want you to do well so I'm trying to think what could help.

If your other shop is getting views could you put a link on that shop over to this shop to get a little more traffic?

Then the last thing I can even think of is the social sites - face book, twitter and pinterest. Anything to get noticed.

I will work on those tags today, thanks for the suggestions, as you said, it is hard to think of 13 tags sometimes.

Something strange I just notced and can't seem to find the anwser to in any of the forums......

As I said, I have 2 shops. This shop is charging me a min of $20.00 for search ads while the other is charging a min of $5.

I don't have a smaller amount that I can choose.

Does anyone know anything about search ads?

I don't have much to add apart from what the other team members have said, but I do want to say I agree with them that your shop looks nice and professional. Not as good as a sale, but I hope that helps :D

Sherrie, I think your scarves and purses are really nice. One thing I noticed is on the purses you have different backgrounds. You might stick to the same theme in the background. I dont think the chair should be used. The scarves are fine on the model. You take very nice clear shots, just might work on your backgrounds. Good Luck.
