Tornados in the South, how you can help

Our hometown of Tuscaloosa AL was hit by the terrible tornado outbreak along with countless other cities in the south. There are so many folks who can really use your help. I wanted to share these links with you in case you might be able to donate or help spread the word about these options for donating in Alabama... perhaps you can tweet or facebook this info too. And of course add to the thread if you have info on where to donate to any other states as well... Thanks! - Troy

Troy, I was immediately concerned when I heard the news! I pray that your family and friends are okay.

I already donated, and I cross-posted to both of my fb accounts and twitter. I hope that helps, honey...

xoxo

Re: Tornados in the South, how you can help

Family and property are good, thanks for asking. Parts of the city are really bad tho, the good thing is that there are alot of people reaching out to help. I believe it is actually going to bring the community together, hopefully bridge the gap between the poorer people and the better off people. I heard too that alot of transfer trailers from across the nation are rolling in to Tuscaloosa with food, supplies etc. Red Cross is supposed to be doing a great job on the ground there as well. I just read too that Japan is actually donating $250,000 worth of blankets and sheets to the areas affected by the storm.

Japan helps Tornado-hit US by sending 250,000$ worth of blankets and sheets! http://bit.ly/jyiHWN

thanks for asking! - Troy
