Re: Suggest a Website! What is your favorite go to website for inspiration?

I haven't heard of any of those links, but I'll be sure to check them out!

Here are a few for you:

http://www.kindovermatter.com/ ~ Amanda is the sweetest person, and she channels inspiration and compassion for me almost every day. I love her blog. If you read it for yourself, you'll see why!

http://www.iwrotethisforyou.me/ ~ Ian is currently on a writing hiatus, but he is an incredible human being who lives in South Africa. His photography partner was living in Japan, and they had never met until the earthquake. His posts are so incredibly moving, that it's worth reading the archives... I hope he posts again, soon.

http://julieliveshere.com/ ~ This happens to be the website of my sister/cousin/twin who lives and works in SF. She's a well-known photographer, poet, and amazing human being.

http://www.katayoonart.com/ ~ This is the website of my dear friend, Kat. We have never met, but we share stories about horses, cats, and dogs. We trade books, clothing, and we always share art. She is a very special kind of artist.

http://www.thestolenscream.com/ ~ An amazing story about a talented photographer, named Noam Galai and the rights of artistic license. His story is so inspirational, and he's an incredibly gracious person.

Enjoy, everybody :)

xoxo,
Nat

Re: Suggest a Website! What is your favorite go to website for inspiration?

can't wait to check out these links this weekend! Thank you for these:)

This is my goto site when I need to listen to some deep thinking... some can be a little new age, others can be pretty far out, some are really mind blowing... but by far the most interesting interviews of interesting people I have come across in one place in a long time. It is only $5.00 a month (to access the full interviews), and worth every penny. I usually listen to these while I am working or computing... It's the Conscious Media Network (interviews section)

My cousin uses blurb ~ the one I posted the link for... she loves it. She's sent two of her books to me so far, and you would never know they are self-published. Good luck!

Re: Suggest a Website! What is your favorite go to website for inspiration?

My favorite tutorial website for learning how to use computer software like photoshop, illustrator etc is LYNDA http://lynda.com These are video tutorials that are really in depth and very enlightening... all done with a chapter system, so you can access what info you want when you need it. It's really brilliant and totally worth the $ per month ($25) ... better than going to school for it because you can learn from your own comfort zone... And even if you sign up for a month, then unsign up... then resign up a year later, LYNDA remembers where you left off, what chapters you were on, etc. It's amazing! Check it! - Troy

Re: Suggest a Website! What is your favorite go to website for inspiration?

www.hayhouseradio.com is an online radio station that features some of my favorite authors as regular weekly speakers in which listeners can call in directly and speak with angel healer Doreen Virtue, Dr. Wayne. W. Dyer, Michael Neill just to list the few at the top of my head - great for people interested in spiritual and self-help material. This radio station was founded by Louise Hay who wrote the book You Can Heal Your Life.

www.deniselinn.com is another author who has weekly shows at the site above but her personal website features healing portals in which reiki masters send healing energy into the image and who ever needs some healing energy is welcome to use them including chakra healing portals. This section is listed in the Mystic Portals area of her website so take a look around for it.

I get a lot of inspiration from European Illustrators. One blog that has been instrumental is http://kickcanandconkers.blogspot.com/ run by Deb Beau.
She has an eye for vintage toys too. I get so excited when I am introduced to some new.

Re: Suggest a Website! What is your favorite go to website for inspiration?

Okay, so I just learned about Pinterest, which is a new site dedicated to artists and their personal tastes. Apparently, you can 'pin' your taste in things to your boards and share them. I think it works with twitter, tumblr, and the like.

I have 5 invites.

Would anybody like one?

in my freetime I write for Beautiful/Decay, a really cool art site with wild out-there work by very interesting artists from around the world. Here is my latest interview with an artist named Raymond Lemstra

http://beautifuldecay.com/2011/06/13/artist-interview-raymond-lemstra/

It also got picked up by the Huffington Post:
