I do notice if you re-list it keeps views but it resets if you enter it as a new item or copy then place it out there (which I believe gives you a shot at being on the front page for a few seconds when re-listing does not).
One of my items got featured in a treasury and I got something like 90 hits almost immediately.
I find that a lot of people have been hearting one of my items
http://www.etsy.com/listing/61960466/music-in-photos, but I can't figure out where they are seeing it. I've also sold 10 items to six different customers in other states. I wonder how they are coming across my stuff? I wish I could send them a survey.
I can tell you that joining a treasury team will help. I have heard and read this many times. I applied to one but have not been accepted yet.
I have also been on a couple of forums and believe I have received at least two sales from folks seeing my stuff that way.
The comment to use all of your tags is a good one. I tried to do a product search for what I'm selling and noticed I'm WAY down on the pages. I started looking at other like-mine items and seeing how they were tagged and realized I was missing a lot of good tags.
Another suggestion that someone in a class said was to read the storque and if the blogs tells you that a word is going to be looked for, like this month had "woodland", to use it. I have tried to use those suggested key words when appropriate.
I see tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. there is going to be a virtual lab on site critiques. I am going to try to sign on:
http://www.etsy.com/virtual_labs.phpI have only sat through one of these labs, but it taught me a lot.
Good luck everyone, Ada
