No luck with first sale - where did i go wrong?

aaarrgghhh!! I spent quite a lot of time editing all our items for our end of season sale and thought I promoted it quite well. i sent out postcards telling family, friends and anyone else letting them know about the fantastic sale we were having. i tweeted it, did several blog posts about it and then ping-o-maticted them and also spread the news on my facebook page and facebook fan page. it ran sat 19th - sun 27 march and had ZERO sales! Zip, Nada, None.

So i am wondering what i did wrong, went wrong or if no one is interested in my shop. so i m feeling rather down and flat and totally uninspired to do any more work - but am making myself and am currently in the midst of getting ready for a new collection launch happening next monday. if anyone can shed any light on my current darkness and aid in sparking my fire, i would be very happy and not feel quite as depressed!

am going back to hitting the life out of a pillow to vent angst over failure!!!

thank you to anyone in advance for any words of wisdom, helpful tips or an unlimited bank account where i can bribe people to buy from me! (ok, so that would be totally against the point, but so what!)

I haven't had any sales either, I have to just keep reminding myself that everyday God gives us is a New Beginning, trust in him and his timing, I guess I'm just trying to encourage you not to give up,listen to you're instincts, and keep on keeping on with Faith, Hope and Love!! Slow here too! My local paper just ran a story about a weekend craft show here, lots of lookers but few buyers. They felt this is a bad time of year because people are still paying high heating bills. Your products are adorable, hang in there!

Ditto..slow here too...I just keep plugging along and adding new stuff a couple of times a day..I feel it'll happen.

ahhhhh!!... same here .. i joined etsy on 16th march and its 28th march today... NO SALES NO SALES... i m soo heartbroken ... :(( ... anyone... plz help..

its very slow on etsy, been here for about 2 months, maybe 3 or even 4 I can't even recall seriously lolll and no sales. My sales are mostly on facebook. I was curious to see the visits on etsy so decided to install google analytic and WOW, this site is really dead lolll. A lot of money has been invested in trying to get my business going and do feel rather down at times. Sales are very slow here as well. Checking the Pounce button to see recent sales is not very encouraging either. I will, however, continue with my idea of having a store dedicated to selling my custom tea blends and other items that are associated with tea parties and sharing a cup of tea with friends. There has to be a way to make this work.

We just need to keep a positive outlook. I know that is easier said then done. Sales are down everywhere but they will pick up. It is such a good feeling when you make that first sale. Let's all encourage each other and offer our advice.

Hang in there your stuff is great. I got my first sale after almost 3 months and 2 more since then but nothing after that. The seasons are changing so hopefully folks will start buying for the warmer weather.

Same here. Only sold to family so far, really would like to see some sales from outside. I was really discouraged last night but I am determined this is going to work so I'll keep making dresses and posting until something starts to happen. Good luck to everyone!!!
