They have done a little of both for me, but they also help build Etsy relationships which is great! I find them fun, but time consuming. I wish I had time to do more than I do.
Yes it helps. Sometimes those featured will visit your shop as well. Sometimes people check out the curator's shop because of the good eye in putting a collection together.
And if it were to make it to the front page you would get lots of views.
