My friends who sell here (and they sell a LOT of pieces here!) say that unless it's an item like a greeting card or supplies you are selling, you really want to have a creative name that calls out to people. I'm far less likely to click an item that says "Blue Necklace" than I am to click a necklace called "One Starry Night". This would be especially true of paintings, but again, that's the artist in me. I get annoyed seeing "Untitled #1" but "In the Poppy-colored Fields" would give me a sense of connection. I see that name and think "I loved poppies in Italy; I'm going to take a peek at this!"
I'll note that it is my personal preference, but that's the advice I've been given time and time again. In fact, it helps me at shows, too. People see my jewelry and love that it has a story and a name instead of "Necklaces at X price". I sell more jewelry based on the stories than others around me who are selling jewelry for less. Just something to think about. :)
I do put a generic description after the name of my piece for Etsy because I know not everyone thinks like I or my friends do, but I don't think it's bad to have a name for your art. Like LilyBean said, it gives personality and a connection to your audience and that's one of the most valuable tools you have!
