Do you find that if you don't sell....

you can't buy? I have been patiently waiting for my sales to pick up because I have a long list of favorite items I would like to purchase.
I am hoping that soon I can buy them and then it made me realize that the majority must do the same. The fav so they can buy it later...

Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question, but here's my attempt at an answer. I have several items for sale which unfortunately are still for sale. I have purchased several items with no problems. I've been extremely happy with the items I've bought.

Oh yes, I guess I wasn't clear :) I meant you need to make money from ur shop before u can spend it on other shops. :)

I haven't purchased anything but supplies for more pieces. But, I told myself that I can't treat myself until I make some sales. There are quite a few shops I would like to splurge on!

I have finally been able to buy from another shop that wasn't a supplier, it was nice to treat myself to something beautiful, but even better to purchase fellow newbie etsian!

My favorites are mostly supplies that I would love to have to make more products, but like you said I need stuff to sale first.

Yes, sounds like we are all addicts to great handmade art. We are trying to sell because we have to create to be happy and buy others art to be happier.
Now...how do we find the customers that AREN'T artists so we can afford our addiction!

Oh my God, YES! Everything I favourite I would love to own! But I just do not have the money for it all (or any of it at the moment!).

I decided a few weeks ago (after visiting a small label fashion trade show, oh the pretties!) that I want to buy less clothes/accessories and more expensive, beautiful pieces less often. If that makes sense? Instead of shopping on the high street regularly, I'd rather save up and buy a rare, gorgeous, handmade item.

I hate walking out onto the street and see someone wearing my coat or my earrings, y'know? I like my things to have a story.

I was thinking.. I might set up a discount code on my shop for fellow Etsian Newbies in case anyone wanted to buy from me, but couldn't quite afford it. Maybe 10% off? Would anyone be interested in something like that?

Most definitely. Quite honestly, we're flat broke. I can't shop right now until I can start paying down some bills. It's sad because there are so many things I want/need. It's so hard! LOL!

It IS hard! I often find that men don't understand either.. they complain how women shop so much, but I'd bet you ANYTHING that they would complain if we turned out in old, stained clothes, no make-up and smelling like we hadn't washed! ;)

I mean my boyfriend would buy me anything if he thought it would make me happy, bless him. I don't let him though, I think his money should be spent on him. However I bought a new dress a few weeks ago and he didn't seem very interested when I brought it home.. I put it on yesterday and he grinned and said I looked really nice. That, right there, is my point!!

DITTO! If you checked out my Black & Red Oriental Treasury, you will see a gorgeous leather cuff bracelt.... that has my name on it!! I'm just grateful they are made to order, so I don't have to panic about it selling before I get a chance to get my sticky mitts on it! lol! :-D
