Hi there everyone,
So you have taken a thousand photos of your work and re edited your postings for the third time and happy day you made a sale! Now what?
Be sure to keep that customer coming back and spreading the word about your wonderful products. Once you have made that sale it is all about customer service.
Don't just cram your item in the smallest possible box and send it on it's way. Be sure to package your item well. Think about it's journey to the customer. If it gets wet or is dropped is it going to be damaged? Be sure to include a thank you note! Even if that is all the note says.
SEND AN EMAIL!
Let your customer know you received their order and the item is on it's way. I have spoken to a lot of shoppers and they all have the same complaint. They ordered an item and then heard nothing from the shop. Did they get my order? Is it lost in the mail? Customers don't mind waiting 10 days for their package if they know it is coming. Better yet if you ship standard mail at the post office the expected delivery date is on the receipt! Let them know when to keep an eye out for it.
These are just a few basic ways you can improve your customer service!
If you have any other ideas please post them and let us all find ways to improve our customers shopping experience here on Etsy.
The more people are talking about Etsy around the water cooler at work or at the playground with their kids the more shoppers we will all have!
Thanks!
