those are my exact convos 5-8 times a week Jen- I totally understand you shutting it down. I even have snippets saved explaining why I will not do multiple photos and price quotes. I know people think they are honoring you by choosing you to do their special request- but they have no clue you are trying to get work don for other customers, run a business and have a life.
I think jewelry store counter sketch is one of the worst things to happen to on line sellers- they think it just takes a minute to come up with a design with the stone of their choice and send them a pic

Hedda is sick today. Just a cold with mild fever it seems. I was at work for a few hours while the grandparents watched her. Tomorrow J can stay at home.

Jen...I've started turning down custom as well. I just can't take on anything else right now...I'm already behind on the few projects that I have. (no complaints...I just know my limitations).

I've had a few of those conversations lately as well. It always seems like the more questions asked, the least apt they are to purchase.

Tried a new recipe tonight and thought to myself,this oven is pretty hot, so I turned it down a little bit. Chicken is raw lol. Note to self: don't do that! >_<

Kit I love that saying! Never heard it but it sounds like something my mom would have said. She used to say all the time when she was upset: That makes my butt wanna chew tobacco! I find I say it sometimes and it embarrasses my kid lol. Parents are good at the embarrassment game!

Speaking of hubs. Today was quite a bit better. He seems more uncomfortable than in pain and I know they've reduced his pain meds. He was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt and was able to readjust his position in the wheelchair. He's still a little confused but we went outside for a bit and he can carry on a bit of simple conversation. For an example he said the word "bank" when I think he meant "hospital". It's weird because I'm never quite sure if he thinks it IS a bank or is just getting the word wrong.

And I won my tennis match this morning too. and the cherry to the day is a simple order that can be made quickly for a tidy profit. All in all, a MUCH better day.

My ipad is on it's way back to Apple. I sure miss that little tablet.

My tablet is slowly going downhill. I hate that because I really like this tablet. Might try a Samsung next time.

Good to hear your hubs is making steady progress Terri.

The thing I like least about having to get a new anything computer related is transferring my files. I got one of those 1 terabyte external hard drives- lord, it makes it so much easier than before but still a pain to do.
And Kit when you get a new one be sure to go into settings and disable start up programs you don't need that come already installed- like whatever Samsung installs. My new H/P laptop was loaded with crap that HP installed that that slowed it down terribly

My 7inch Samsung tablet came with a huge amount of bloatware, and I couldn't find a way to uninstall or disable. But I love it's performance. Also have read great things about the Asus Zen pad. We'll see.

Asis is one of the best. As my geek friend tells me, you do get what you pay for in computers. I just don't care for the tiny screens- the smallest thing I use is my Kindle Fire unless I'm forced to use the phone for IG

You have to go into settings Kit- programs and features- then uninstall.

I just got a collect call from my dead son (did not accept the charges).
So far I've been contacted three separate times over this last year by someone purporting themselves as Brandon.

Some scammers have a twisted sense of humor.

That's just sad and awful! Even with all our phone numbers on the do not call list- we get multiples a day. I used to report the number on that same site- it's useless, they just robo call on the next number

The newest robo calls sound like a real person with wait times and they ask questions. I never answer 'yes'. I always ask a question back to see if you get the response a real person would answer. I have one robo call that I get over and over that sounds like a little girl with a high pitched voice. Annoying.

Oh Kat...that is just terrible!

We get those calls here at the office too. Multiple times a day. It's really frustrating because we are busy and really don't have the time to field hundreds of bogus calls. A trick I learned is to put the receiver down on the mouse pad, and let the call run through. It ties up their line with time, and eventually you will be taken off the list. :-)
