Question about ring sizing.

I have a customer that wants this ring in a 9.5. The width of the band is 1/2 an inch.
I have read that bands 1/2 an inch or wider should be increased half a size. The band is 22G. Is this correct?

I would agree with that but it really depends on the finger of the customer. I'd go up at least a half size for that wide a ring and maybe even more.

I went up half a size so we will see.

I size by the center of the band for larger bands. So when the center of the band is on the 9.5 mark you get in the right area.
