Everyone went to school - Little J is still not feeling well, but they were working on some group cloud project in science that he needed to be there for today. They had curriculum night last night at school, so we made him go - we got his homework from yesterday, which was good - and found out about this project. Off he went. I told him if he got really yucky, to call me. After 11 am, they call it a full day anyway.

It's supposed to get down to 46 tonight - coldest night we've had since probably March. NICE.

Morning! Was a nice day yesterday and suppose to be nice today too. But wouldn't you know that I have projects to work on and I didn't get outside much at all. I hope the nice weather continues through the week and weekend. I have yard stuff I'd like to do before winter sets in.

Anxiously waiting for rainbow moonstones and a few labradorites to come in the mail....I can't believe how excited I get when I order stones.

I ordered some stones from a seller on IG, and they created the label on October 6th, but apparently never mailed them. I asked them the other day what was going on - nice and all - and they saw the DM but never responded.

I'm getting ticked - this is someone I've bought from before and want to buy from again.

There are a few stone sellers on IG that a pretty unreliable about shipping out but most are great. I'm still in awe at what some sellers get for stones. $$$$$$.

I have to laugh when they have stone auctions on IG and people pay a ridiculous amount of money for stones that should be selling for way less. The irritating ones are those who had nice stuff, got popular then raised prices and price gouge people. I stick with buying on Etsy and a few on FB unless I know the seller is a stand up person on IG- like Lee Ballentine, never had a problem with him ever (AZ Traderman). I stopped buying from RR when I saw a lot of the same stuff she sells at the gem shows for way less money and I can pick the exact colors I want instead of having to buy a "lot" of 5 to get 3 I want. I guess IG is good for those that don't like to research or don't have access to shows but wow some of the prices are just crazy. I've been on a stone diet for so long I'm probably out of the loop on real prices anyhow

Terri, you have to get a different email addy for a new IG account. Otherwise, log out and set it up just like you did for the first one.

It turned out to be a gorgeous day here! I had a riding lesson this morning that was fantastic! Millie has made such a change the last couple of months and my new trainer is fantastic! She's really helping us overcome some hurdles. :-)

Coaching running tonight, then working on marketing materials. I need to pull a piece for a donation I'm doing for Hope Harbor. One of the local news stations will be MC'ing the fundraising event. It's a great cause and a big event. I was asked if I would donate a piece. :)

Good Morning! Beautiful Fall Day here! I saw a couple of deer on my way into work this morning. Such a pretty sight. They were away from the highway, so that was even better. :-) I might have caught a glimpse of a bald eagle flying by the house across the highway...but it was gone before I could get my binoculars to verify. Today is a day I wish I could just play hooky!


Terri...I believe a lot of the change is the surgery...I would say 75-80% with the rest due to diet and groundwork. She's quiet and gelding like now, when before she would buzz and vibrate with energy. Her response to things going on around her has completely changed...she is still alert, but not in a panic or high flight mode. I rode her yesterday in 39F weather when I would never have dared to do that before. She was a bit more alert and ready to go yesterday, but not in a scary way. It took nearly a year for the hormones to settle down, but I've noticed a significant different the past couple of months and she's been a complete joy to ride. Her talent is now shining through because we're not dealing with her self-made tension and drama. I would not hesitate to spay another mare. it's a long recovery, but seeing how much more at peace and calm Millie is...I really wished I had done this a lot sooner.
