Good Morning. Just in from Pilates. *legs are shakin' like bacon*
Also says a prayer for Kit's bank account.
Only moderate success in the studio last night. Mostly frustration. I had to cut a piece of tubing for a tube-setting 4 times, because the darn thing kept jumping off the bench into the abyss. I looked around for the first 2, then gave up. I'll find them when I go to sweep later on and use them for something else. It took longer to look than to cut a new one.
Back from shopping. Not much spring stuff in yet, so only got a teal top that was on sale. My bank account let out a huge sigh of relief. Very tired now. Wo7ld love to take a nap, but then I'd be super cranky. I don't nap well. It's a beautiful day out. Should go plant some herbs, but the leg says no.
I am having the day from hell. First I discovered mid afternoon that I had lost one of my 1/2 carat diamond studs which I have had and worn for over 35 years. No clue where or when it disappeared. So I put in another stud, one of Irene's succulent studs I love. Went to dinner, came home, that stud is also gone from the same ear. Someone just shoot me and take all my personal jewelry
Thanks for the welcome home. I never take enough photos. I don't remember to take pictures half the time. I'm always too busy looking. Lol.
I hate losing earrings Pennee. Half the time I never find them unless they come out when I change clothes, then I find them in my laundry basket. Losing a 1/2 carat diamond is quite a loss. Not sure if I would take that well.
And I canceled all my rider policies on jewelry on my homeowners policy a few years ago. It was getting ridiculous since most of it I didn't wear very often. I am a bit ill. Not that I can't make a new one but lord, having them 35 years, then poof!
and yet another good idea I am always too lazy to get around to doing- single earrings and broken bracelets from back in the day when those skinny chain ones and horrid rope ones were popular and broke if you breathed on them wrong. Maybe I can do that this week and take the sting out of buying a new diamond. Still hoping it turns up though
Pennee - maybe turn that second earring into a pendant, or put an additional hole in one ear for it. I lost my half carat diamond out of my ring years ago and we looked in the car, we looked in the pebble driveway and finally found it in a crack between boards in our wood floor. I hardly even wear it now.
heading out to an old pro exhibition tennis thing nearby, called one on one doubles. It's being televised on our Florida channel and admission is free. I hope there's enough parking and seating to be comfortable.
Hey guys, we had planned to drop the kids off and go out today. But ended up cleaning the bathrooms and I wrote a bunch of listings instead. Party animals over here 🙄
Thanks so much Irene- I wasn't going to ask but after I check the restaurant where we ate - if I don't find it I will touch base.
Terri- fortunately or un- I have more diamond pendants than I will ever wear- I loved my diamond studs- they never came off except for weekly cleaning in the ultrasonic. I'm not one of those girly girls that changes jewelry, purses or whatever for the outfit- I carry the same purse until it dies- and same with my studs. I do have 2 holes in each ear so I change the front ones but rarely the studs. I always say, diamonds go with everything so I don't have to change them!
well, Pennee - I just hope St. Anthony comes through for you and you find it. I only have a couple of purses too and only change if they REALLY clash with something else I have on and I'm happiest in sneakers. I swear the Neil Diamond song "Forever in Blue Jeans" is my personal theme song.
Tennis thing was fun - got me an another woman who's husband is needing extra care out for a bit.
