Hey, Sue, I'm glad to hear you say that. I want a healthy diet that I can maintain and the maintenance phase is pretty close to how we eat now. I have a question...I'm at day 8 of phase one and I have lost 5 lbs but now my weight is PARKED there. I'm even eating a little less because I'm not as hungry. Please give me some hope that I'm going to see smaller numbers on the scale???!!!

I'm trying to plan my meals next week and then I get to take thing one and thing two to the grocery store. Alcohol is forbidden during phase one or I'd take a shot before I went.

I've heard they put green coloured glasses on imported cows that have been brought into some very arid parts of the world so they see everything as verdant, like home and produce more milk.

Morning everyone.

Ankle is still sore from last nights boo boo, but can walk ( hobble) on it.
Got out of the shower this morning and a lightbulb in the bathroom exploded.

sprained ankles take weeks to heal. not surprised you're hobbling today- i think that will be the norm for awhile, i'm afraid.
ann- it's normal to plateau a bit while dieting. just stick with it and you'll get off the plateau- i promise. women tend to lose wt slower than men anyways, the difference is especially noticable with low carb diets. when i first did south beach, i lost only 5-6 lbs and i did phase one for 6 weeks. i kept it up because during that same time, my dh lost 29 lbs. i was about ready to chuck the diet but kept doing it for his sake. interesting thing is once my metabolism changed (took a couple months), it really changed. i then lost 35 lbs in the next 4 months and he only lost a few more. so, no worries mate. we both ended up with the same wt loss, he just got there faster.

Back from the grocery store with my two kids. It was not good.....
